Did (Y/n) do it? Did (Y/n) really defeat Walpurgisnacht on his own? Time to find out...after a recap!
Homura has found out that a side effect of her time magic caused Madoka to gain so much potential to be a magical girl. (Y/n) wakes up from his coma just in time to share feelings and sentiments during Sayaka Miki's funeral. While helping Madoka with her grief, Kyubey comes in and gives a history lesson on magical girls. Afterwards, drama between Homura and Madoka. Finally, the moment that everyone had been waiting for had arrived: the battle with Walpurgisnacht, the Stage Construction Witch. While Madoka takes shelter, Kyoko, (Y/n), and Homura commence the battle with the strongest witch. When all hope seems lost after Kyoko struggles with the familiars and Homura being fatigued, (Y/n) goes in for one last attempt at defeating Walpurgisnacht. But did he do it?
Without further ado, let's roll the first ending. Note that it won't be too high-quality or that there won't be too much read time for (Y/n) due to the episode's structure.
(Y/n)'S POV
The impact that I had done to Walpurgisnacht had me feeling really tired. Once I had connected the powerful attack with her, I close my eyes and allow my arms and myself to free-fall to the ground out of exhaustion.
As I did, I felt my self collide with the ground beneath. Oh boy, that magic attack really took a lot of energy out of me. I took out my Soul Gem to see how it was doing. Sure enough, it was nearly black all the way through. Homura was still a long distance from my location, and I thought that this would be the end for me.
Was this my fate in the end? Was I doomed to witch out early from the start? I mean, this WAS the final episode, and I suppose that it was only natural that I'd witch out whilst fighting Walpurgisnacht.
Well, the only thing I can do now was watch my Soul Gem turns into a Grief Seed. I held it up towards my face and waited for it to take form.
I had closed my eyes as I tried to remember all of the memories that I had with the Holy Quintet. The pleasant memories, the painfully emotional ones, they had begun flashing before my eyes. The only memory now that I wanted to make was with the three remaining girls
My eyes begin to slowly close up as a sort of pain begins coursing through my body. This was it, this was the fate that I was doomed to face from the start. As I was trying to keep my eyes open, I began to wonder...was there really any sort of way to reach out towards your friends even as a witch? Well, I guess that I was about to find out.
The pain had only begun to increase as I could slowly see my Soul Gem begin to take the form of a Grief Seed, letting out rather loud sounds of pain in the process. I wasn't even able to say goodbye to Madoka, Homura, or even Raspberry...her especially.
I looked back to when I had first met Raspberry. I met her with Sayaka when she was chasing down the Anja familiar in the alleyway. She had prevented us from going after it but I spoke out against Sayaka and sided with her. That is to say, she took a liking to me instantly, which I thought was weird. But either way, I decided to be friendly with her and that's how we became friends. Pretty crazy story.
The only thing I could do was allow tears to roll down my cheeks as more and more of the Grief Seed shape had begun forming. However, that's also when I had heard the thumping of shoes and boots coming towards my location. I knew it as them, but...it was hopeless at this point. I closed my eyes as I continued screaming out of endearing pain.
Kyoko: Hang on, Shorty! We're not letting you turn into a witch on our watch!
Madoka: Homura, the Grief Seed!
Homura: Got it.
The only thing I could see in my blurry vision was Raspberry and Madoka looking down rather worriedly at me. Homura looked down as well, though she had the usual stoic face instead. However, there was a Grief Seed in her hand with a birdcage motif - probably Roberta's.
