KEHARI WATCHED AMARIE finish her own breakfast while he quietly ate his own.
It was 7 in the morning but when she woke up he didn't want her to leave again so he just followed - despite the fact that Amarie wanted him to just sleep.
She even made him his plate before everyone else could eat which he was grateful for since it was probably his first real meal in days - maybe even weeks.
"You good, papi?" She looked up from her plate to meet his gaze.
"Mhm." He hummed chewing on a his last piece of bacon.
"Then why you looking at me like that?" Amarie chuckled.
Kehari shrugged looking down. He pushed eggs around his half eaten plate with his fork before swallowing what was in his mouth. "Cause I like your face, I guess."
Ignoring the silly comment, Amarie watched him play around with the food like a child trying to avoid vegetables. "You done already?"
He nodded looking back up at her. Amarie frowned due to the amount of food left on the plate. Since it was only her second time on breakfast duty alone she assumed he wasn't eating because it was nasty.
"Ion eat that much. It was good though, ma ma." He assured her honestly.
He had no appetite usually so this was a good day for him to have eaten at least half.
"Alright." She sighed letting it go.
"I'm sorry. I'll eat it." He pushed his fork into a piece of french toast.
Amarie grabbed his hand stopping him. "Do what you want, cariño. It's okay." She laughed softly.
"Ight." Kehari spoke calmly, feeling better since he didn't have to force any food down his throat.
