When Hiccup woke up from passing out, thanks to (Y/n) slapping him hard across the face, which she non stopped apologizing for, The two shaken up teenagers headed back to the village. And by the time the got back it was already night time.
"Do you wanna spend the night?" Hiccup asks. The girl let out a yawn and then nodded.
"Sure"
They walked into the Haddock house hold and saw Stoick sitting in front of the fire sharpening his axe. The two froze in their place, before quietly trying to sneak upstairs before he could see. But Stoick being Stoick, knew they were there.
"Hiccup, (Y/n)" He said making them freeze agin. Hiccup sighed.
"Dad, uh... I-we- ....have to talk to you, dad" Hiccup sighs.
"I need to speak with you, too son. Both of you" He says.
"I think it's time you two to fight dragons"
"We don't want to fight dragons"
The two say at the same time. (Y/n) watches from the side unsure what to do.
"What?" They both said at the same time against
"Uh, you go first" Stoick says.
"No, no, you go first" Hiccup says nervously.
"All right" The chief sighs rubbing his hands together. Hiccup and (Y/n) sit down. "You get your wish. Dragon training...you guys start in the morning"
"Ohh man you should have gone first" (Y/n) says.
"Uhh, we were thinking, you know, we have a surplus of dragon-fighting Vikings, but do we have enough bread-making Vikings of small-home-repair Vikings?" Hiccup reasons. The girl nods in agreement.
"You'll need this" Stoick completely ignores them and hands Hiccup an axe. He then turns to (Y/n) and holds up a sword.
"This was your mothers" He says giving it to her. The girl blinked as she stared at the weapon.
"W-wow thank you. It's....sharp?" She says hesitantly.
"We don't wanna fight dragons" Hiccup says. Stoick only laughs at his sons words.
"Oh come on. Yes, you do" He says.
"Rephrase. Stoick, we can't kill dragons" (Y/n) adds.
"But you will kill dragons"
"No. We're really very extra sure that we won't" Hiccup says. (Y/n) nods.
"It's time" Stoick says.
"Can you not hear us?" Hiccup asks.
"This is serious, son, (Y/n). When you carry this axe, and word, you carry all of us with you. Which means you walk like us, you talk like us..." Stoick helps Hiccuo with carrying his axe since he kept dropping it. "You think like us. No more of...this" he gestures.
"You just gestures to all of me" Hiccup rolls his eyes annoyed. That's the second time.
"Deal?" Stoick asks glancing between the two. (Y/n) hangs her head low.
"This conversation in feeling very one sided" Hiccup says.
"Deal?" Stoick asks more sternly this time. The two teens look at each other In defeat.
"Deal" they say in unison.
"Good" He says picking up a basket of supplies. Him and a bunch of his warrior Vikings are setting sale to find the dragon nest which they have yet to find. Each time they set out, the boats never come back.
