(Y/n) didn't know what to do in the meantime. It was unusual for the chaotic duo to be away from each other. They were attached at the hip since they were youngings. Without him, she felt helpless.
The sun had already started rising and (Y/n) felt more awake, especially after that surprise attack, she felt alert. She laid in her bed staring at the ceiling. Her mind drifted off the monstrous nightmare from earlier. The way it looked at her. She didn't know if she was going crazy, but it looked like it didn't want to hurt her, or anyone for that matter. It's almost like behind those cold eyes it was just as afraid as she was for some reason. The (h/c) haired girl sighed as she shook away her thoughts, the same moment Gobber arrived back from his talk/lecture with Hiccup. She didn't bother looking at him, knowing she was about to get the same one.
"What were ya thinking lass? You could have gotten yourself hurt?" Gobber sighs. (Y/n) sits up in her bed and shrugs.
"I can handle myself" She says getting up and going to fetch herself a glass of water.
"I know ya can. But Hiccup is enough to handle, we don't need both of ya causing trouble. You should set an example for him, especially with who your parents were—"
"Why does everyone bring my parents into this?!Everytime it's "(Y/n), your parents would be disappointed in you" "why can't you be more like you're parents?" Well they died when I was 6! I barely remember them" She says breathlessly. Gobber stares at her with pity, which she hates more then anything.
"I....I just wanted to show I was worthy of something. And Hiccup....I know it's hard to believe but he hit a Night fury. Two! I saw it" She pleads. Gobber only sighs not believing her.
"It was dark and your were running on adrenaline. You imagined it" He says. (Y/n) let's out a frustrate groan and slams her glass on the table.
"I'm going for a walk" She mumbles and walks past Gobber.
"Mhmm, sure ya are. Not going to see a certain auburn haired boy" He snickers quietly. She rolled her eyes but couldn't help the faint blush on her cheeks. He always teased her about her and Hiccup. It was undeniable that she liked the boy. Anyone who payed close enough attention would notice. All except Hiccup that is. Like most boys, he's oblivious to the way she stares at him. Mesmerized by his brown locks and bright brown eyes that hold curiousness and the need to learn. The determination was her favourite though. He was passionate about a lot of things. The light peppered freckles across his dusted pink cheeks. And his smile, oh how she adored his smile. Even when she wanted to break down in tears, that smile was the most contagious.
(Y/n) was so caught up her in her thoughts, she almost walked right past his house. This made her laugh quietly. She walked up to the door and walked right in, knowing the chief and the rest of the village were having a meeting in the great hall.
"Hiccup?" She called out, looking around. She walked in further and looked at his desk where he drew all of his designs on. He was quite talented in that department. She was to focused on looking threw the papers she didn't notice him come in and call her name. She almost screamed when he placed a hand on her shoulder. He laughed at her reaction.
"What are you doing?" He asks.
"Nothing" She replied. He raised a brow but the grabbed her hand and started leading her outside.
"We're gonna find those dragons and prove to everyone that we're real Vikings. I'm sick of the looks I get from everyone. Even my own father hates me" Hiccup says as he and (Y/n) walk towards the forest in Ravens point. She frowned at his words.
"He doesn't hate you Hiccup. He just.... He's always lived a certain life. He's always been one for the kill and your just special and new. Different. I-In a good way. You'll be the new Berk one day. You'll see. They'll all see it sooner or later" She reassures. Hiccup looks at her in admiration. How could someone like him be lucky enough to have someone like her in his life.
