Chapter 13: Chaeyoung's Farewell

*one week later*
Chaeyoung's house has been recently busy since they were packing and preparing to go the States. Chaeyoung was slowly packing her things and was teary eyed. She tried to hold back her tears but she just couldn't. She looked at her decorated picture frame with the photo of nine of them, having fun together. She smiled at it while crying
"I can't.......do it. I can't leave them! I thought I could just survive the whole school year with Dahyun and Tzuyu, but I didn't know I would have friends like the nine of them"
Chaeyoung thought while punching her pillow. She immediately ran down the stairs
Chaeyoung: mom?
Mrs. Son: yes?
Chaeyoung: can I just......you know, not go with you?
Mrs. Son: and why is that?
Chaeyoung: if I tell you why mom, will you listen?
Chaeyoung explained everything, from meeting new friends to the memories they did in just a year
Mrs. Son: I wish we could just stay here but, I want you to have a better life there. And besides, we'll go home once you finish college
Chaeyoung: how about my friends???
Mrs. Son: have you told them about this?
Chaeyoung: only to Dahyun, Tzuyu and Mina
Mrs. Son: Chaeyoung, do you like Mina?
Chaeyoung: why did you ask that mom?
Mrs. Son: you mention her a lot, and that you went out with her one time
Chaeyoung: I was trying to make her feel comfortable
Mrs. Son: comfortable with what?
Chaeyoung: with me? She felt awkward around me and she was the one who asked me to go out with her
Mrs. Son: Chaeyoung, you should tell this to your friends, it's better for them to know about this, okay?
Chaeyoung: okay
Chaeyoung said with a disappointed tone
Mrs. Son: don't worry, we'll go home after three years
Mrs. Son said while hugging Chaeyoung and gently patting her head
Chaeyoung decided to tell everyone what happened
