I SAW the grin on Hades' face fade away at the sight of his daughter being a dragon. Either way, scared or not, he blasted her with his ember. Everyone gasped in distress and distraught.

"Come on, Mal! Blast him!" Jay encouraged her.

She raised her head and blew wind at his body, making him tumble backwards. Evie and I helped the boys up quickly.

"You okay?" I asked Carlos, cupping his cheek as he held his side.

"Y-yea.." He sighed as we turned our heads back to Mal, who was coming back down.

She landed on the car with Ben and Evie helping her down and to stand. I was holding Carlos' hand and his arm was around my waist, also helping him stand.

"Are you okay?" Evie asked her as we stepped closer to one another.

"No...He was draining all of my magic with the ember, and I felt all my powers slipping away." She explained, groaning in the process.

"But you're safe. He's back where he belongs." E reminded her. We watched as the god walked away and back to his cave.

"Yeah, for now." She scoffed.

"All right, he's gone now. Can we go?" I cocked a brow and they all turned around to me.

"Right, yea. Let's go." Ben nodded and we all piled into the car.

I conjured a water bottle for Mal, handing it to her. "Here, Mal, drink this"

This morning Mal went to a meeting with her fiancé to discuss what they'd do about this 'Hades' situation.

Meanwhile, I was with Evie in her dress-making room, wearing a black crop top with mesh sleeves, dark green jeans with a belt and chains, heeled combat boots, gold jewelry and fingerless gloves, again.

Evie and I were looking at all the designs we had created together, scrapping the ones neither of us liked.

"What about this one? I hate the top." I asked her, pointing at the piece of paper on the desk. The top was strapless and the dress had a bunch of ruffles.

"Same, trash it." She nodded and I ripped it up, tossing it in the bin.

"Esme? Evie?" We heard Mal call our names while closing the door.

"We're in here!" I yelled as E hid all the drawings, quickly shoving them into her drawer.

She had just told us about the crown and the sceptre being stolen, the thief has yet to be identified though.

"Does anyone else know about it?" I cocked a brow, standing beside Evie, who was sitting down.

"No one." She scoffed. "I mean, think about it, people are scared enough as it is. We have to employ these entirely new security measures."

"Will this delay our bring over more VKs?" Eve asked, concerned for the children.

"We're talking about closing the barrier for good."

"But you said no." I said, though, she stayed silent, just blinked her eyes at me. Why didn't she say anything?

"I mean, the four of us are living the dream here, and we finally get to share that. I mean, what could be more important than that?" E stared up at us two.

"Yeah... I know." M sighed, sitting down. "I mean, maybe security or maybe peace of mind for everyone in Auradon."

"Is that what they're thinking, Mal?" I questioned, playing with the hem of my shirt.

"And were they seriously thinking that no one will ever go in or out of the Isle ever again? What, we never go back to see our parents?" The bluenette asked rhetorically.

"What about these kids, guys? We promised them they could go back and see their parents, when they wanted!" I reminded the two girls.

"Yeah, I know."

"M, we are so glad that you are going to be queen. You will be a part of these conversations, you will stand up for the VKs." Eve added after a moment, smiling at both of us.

"Thank you for telling us, Mal." I sighed, before walking off.

I don't think Mal was telling the truth. She seemed..hesitant and nervous, but it's fine 'cause she'd tell us the truth, she'd never lie to her family.

I headed up to our shared room which had five beds for each of us, though, I always just slept with Carlos. I opened the door and saw my boyfriend on his computer, seated on his bed.

"Hey!" He beamed at me.

"Hi." I sent him a tight-lipped smile, taking a seat beside him.

"Something wrong?" Carlos took note of my down mood.

"No, just tired." I shook my head, kissing his cheek.

"At..ten in the morning?" He laughed and I nodded, giggling at the time and how early it was.

"Whatever, Jane's birthday is tomorrow. I'm going earlier in the morning, before you guys." I said, playing with his hair.

"Whyyy~" He groaned, turning his head to me while shutting his laptop.

"Because I want to hang out with her." Jane and I were friends, pretty good friends now.

It was the next day and I was on my way to see Jane. I didn't choose to wear a dress or anything special, just something normal, pants and a bomber jacket or whatever.

Jane texted me that she was on the school campus outside, telling me to meet her there. I was jogging through the forest for a while. Soon after I was searching the campus and finally found her.

"Jane!" I smiled, hugging her.

"Hey!"

"Happy birthday." I wished her as we pulled apart.

"Thank you! I need to visit my old dorm room really quick." She added, phone in her hand.

"Ok, let's go." I shrugged.
