Couldn't be me (Sasuke Love Story)

What happened?

My eyes started to open as I felt the rising sun hit it. Groaning, I sat up and clutched my stomach as I felt a sharp pain. Memories came flooding back into my head from the fight. I tightened my fist in annoyance.

"I can't believe I let him beat me, I really need to go back to training"

"I'm glad your up my dear, you have been out for 2 days"

"Two days?!? Seriously"

"Yeah, but considering everything I heard while you were out, Zabuza and Haku we're killed"

"...wait, what"

"Of course, if they tell you you shouldn't make it obvious that you know but it's true. Haku was accidentally killed by Kakashi because he was protecting Zabuza, and Zabuza let himself die along with Gato to pay for his sins. Seems like Naruto talked some sense into him during the battle"

I was stunned. Haku always said he would die protecting Zabuza. I should have expected it but it still hurts. And Zabuza, I always knew there was a softie behind that demon. I can't believe they're both gone. I kind of still owe them my life when I was little even if I was their target. All I can hope is that there still together whether it's heaven or hell.

"And what about the squad"

"Sasuke and Kakashi are still recovering from their injuries. Naruto is fine due to his special fox healing. And Sakura didn't partake in the actual fight so she wasn't injured"

"Of course she didn't do anything. Let me guess, she stood in front of Tazuna the whole time with her Academy stance"

"I'm not sure but it seems like it"

I tried to stand up but my stomach kept stinging like a bitch. Gritting my teeth together, I pushed through the pain towards my bag with medical supplies. I unwrapped the sloppy bandages and started to self-heal. After a few minutes, the pain started to go away and I wrapped myself firmly so walking wouldn't be a challenge.

"Never been more grateful that I learned medical ninjutsu"

"You will heal fully soon anyways, I'd give it a day"

Eventually, I got up and walked to the kitchen to see Inari's mom looking at me in shock. She rushed over to me checking my bandages.

"Are you ok now dear, your injuries were pretty serious when Naruto brought you inside the house," she said.

"Naruto did?"

"Yeah, the poor kid didn't know what to do when he saw you. He was so panicked. When he carried you inside, all of our hearts dropped"

"Well, who bandaged me?"

"Kakashi and I worked together to heal you the best we could. We just needed you to wake up so we could do more but it seems like you're ok now," she smiled at me.

"Thanks for healing me but where are they now?"

"They managed to successfully protect the bridge from Gato but Zabuza and the kid died a sad death. There honoring their memory now at the top of the cliff"

"Then that's where I'll be going to," I say and walk towards the door.

"Are you sure you can manage by yourself?" she asked full of worry.

"I'll be more than ok, thanks again," I say and walk out the door.

After a few minutes of walking, my body starts to feel lighter and less cramped. Soon I spot them at the top of the cliff. Before I can say anything Naruto starts to yell out to the sky.
