A day has passed, and I fear for my life. These things will chase me up to the gate, and some just wait around, waiting, waiting for me to leave. The mess is cleaned up by now, and I noted that the water I got warned of was salty, due to contact with an open wound when I was cleaning it all up. I did find several other items during my brief scavenging runs, but, I have no ideas on how to use them. I also found notes, photos, of something... horrifying. It's speaks of and show people being injected with a mysterious liquid by some... doctor-like team. Notes describe it as a slumbering monster, waiting to get released. And, I now feel what they said. Something unnatural within me feels like it's sleeping, and when I stare at a patch of moonlight, it begins to wake.
Some notes give me hope. People have been outside, travelled far, and noticed a facility, and a few even sent letters, stating they have been saved and returned home. It's a comfort to me. But, I can't sit around no longer, as the monsters seem to be asleep. I walk outside of the safety gate, and keep walking. I need to find equipment soon, and more notes, as one described a map that I want to find. But a chilling thought comes to mind: What if that facility fell? The icy eyed wolf still remains with me, as if that man has control still. I guess one can only hope.
I must go find the notes, the map, the gear, and hope my... I guess I can call him mutual ally, and I can escape. The moon doesn't effect anyone outside the facility, as some notes clued me in on it, But the cold can take over. Maybe, as my heart feels like it's thawing out from this hope of escape, he has hope to be human again. I read him the notes, show him the photos, as he's the only one I feel I can trust. But I still doubt the feeling.
Only time will tell if I make it out alive, and if he does to.
