It's been a few more days since my hope was sparked. My icy ally, however, vanished among the crowd, joining the creatures, which I can pinpoint them all to be wolves, and act like sharks around the cage, with me within said cage. But, all wasn't lost for a little bit, as someone returned here, another human.
He came from this odd place, but something was off. He always carried a black crystal with him. It always had this aura around it, and he claimed it to be... 'comforting'. I asked him about the place, this... safe haven I dreamed of. His only response? "Kid, this may be hard for you, but that other facility... it's fallen to a different outbreak. This here is the safest place you can be, for now."
He didn't respond to asking about the crystal except saying how it keeps him calm, and only claimed he was here to 'collect his things'. So, over the course of a few days, we made our way through the maze of halls, until we made it to the locker room. He began looking through the lockers, before it happened. the power shut down. We both hopped into lockers, as the wolves, realizing we never returned to a safe zone, searched for us.
But the lockers felt off. Every second, the beast within, as if I was looking and getting closer to moonlight, became more and more active. I noticed the lights slightly flickered, and took my chance, dashing out of the locker. My friend, however, screamed in pain. He threw the door open, falling down, his crystal flying to me. And in that dim light, I noticed what I thought was exterminated long ago.
The man, or what I thought was one, was a latex creature. A black one with the white mask and eyes. It shouldn't have made sense, they were only built in one laboratory, and that lab fell and was destroyed, right? I didn't touch the crystal, knowing that it might be a latex crystal, waiting for me to touch it. "Give me my crystal back, I can't become one of the wolves!" I got up. "Tell me why you lied to me first, latex." He sighed.
"Alright, the other facility fell to the hands of a latex who called himself: 'Puro'. He was one of the few specimens that the... foundation was able to obtain from the ruins of the laboratory that was destroyed. We had collected small samples of the other latex types, and stored them around the place. And it was he, who one day broke containment, and broke the other vials, spilling the latex all over. And I was the first victim. That crystal was shattered, and pierced me in my hand. But I didn't want to worry anyone, so I used a disguise-like kit to keep my true form hidden. And eventually, everyone was transformed or survivors. I left the site, coming here to hide myself away, until I found you."
"What's the name of this site you speak of?"
"It's called Site 946."
I left him, as he managed to recollect the crystal and shake off whatever attacked him. We may team up again, but I know he was lost a long time ago, and may stab me in the back in the future. I could only hope that this... Site 946 had a way to get out.
A/N: hey all, Ender here. I know it's been a short while, but due to some new activity within the game this story is based from, I decided to pick up this story, and reveal the other facility to be the same facility of another game I play with transfurs: Contagious Containment. It's kinda SCP mixed with Changed, and the location is, of course, called Site 946. I played to it's lore kinda true, it's just that the lore you can find only reveals that this universe's Puro, a poor subject turned into latex, was contained here, and broke free, causing the outbreak. and no, the person in this part isn't Puro. He's just some unfortunate researcher. That's all for this part though, I'll try to make a new one soon!
