Somewhere deep in the artic, I woke up. I looked at my watch: almost 2 days exact. Must've been knocked out cold. Looking around, I notice I'm in some general room, up against a wall. I got up to walk around and inspect it.
It was kind of a room, due to these weird pink 'gates' that let me pass through with ease, but other than that, only a few lockers, a few bats on a bat holder, and a battered worktable, tools included. But around the place was traces of blood, ice, water, and splintered wood, along with several broken bats. I was about to set to tidy the place, until I heard a loud, raspy cough.
It came from a guy outside the largest of all the gate things, which was a double gate. he was up against a desk, with an old computer on it, and a snowy cave entrance nearby. "I'd knew you'd wake up. You were still for so long, they never thought that you may be alive." He sounded like he was in his 30's, and I could see ice crawling up their leg. "Who's they?" I asked back.
"They are everywhere, in many forms. They all work differently. We all were afraid of them, some ran into the cold and never returned, some went exploring to never be seen, and some, walked into the eternal moonlight. One by one, we were becoming one of them. And then, only a couple of hours before, the power went out. Gates shut down, an-" He paused, shivering. The ice reached the hip. "a-and they came. All who were moving were either slain, or infected."
The ice now reached the man's neck. "I'm almost transformed into one of them. So, my final words: Don't trust the fruit, mushrooms, water, or plastic blindfolds. There is more writings for further instruc-" I shed a tear as he was finally consumed by the ice, and I could see, his skin and clothing turning white, the clothes forming with his body. The ice shatters, to reveal a snowy wolf humanoid with icy blue eyes, moments before it vanished, and I could hear it's silent footsteps as it walked into the halls.
I was alone in this hellhole, with those wolf-like things wanting me to become one of them.
