It was 4:28pm I got outta my bed putting my shoes on and walked out of my room. I saw my brother asleep on the couch she had a ice pack on his black eye. I sighed my mom was already asleep in her room cause he had to go to work at 3:00am tomorrow I walked over to my brother and placed a kiss on his forehead and moved hair outta his face and smiled slightly and whispered those assholes are going to pay mas.those assholes are going to pay. I got back up and left the apartment.

I got to the mini Mart and say Miguel standing outside of what looked like a karate studio I walked over to him. He greeted me with a smile and I smile back slightly. "Hey!"he said. "Hey mig" I said back and he opens the door and we walk in and see a blonde haired man standing there. "Take your shoes off and fall in" He said. Me and Miguel took are shoes off. I had no fucking idea what he was talking about 'fall in ' but I guess it meant get in the mat cause that's what Miguel did so I followed. We started training or whatever and it wasn't that hard it was actually pretty fun I liked it.

After we got done training me and Miguel walked back to the apartment complex. "Hey..um val are you ok you seem off?"Miguel asked me. I stared at the ground for a moment before speaking. "Some.. assholes from my brother's school beat him up. I hate seeing him hurt and I hate him feeling like that there's nothing he can do and just let it happen. I've felt that way before and I don't want my brother going through the same thing I did!"I say feeling like I let everything I was feeling out.
Miguel was quiet for a little while. "That's terrible val I'm sorry.."He said. I sigh. "It's ok mig it isn't your fault..those assholes will get what's coming to them."I said.

The next day

I wake up and get up and get ready. I finish my routine and walk outta my room. My mom wasn't home she was at work she wouldn't be home until like around 2:00pm. I see my brother already and he stills has a black eye. I sigh and walk over and grab my bag and we walk out. We walk to school with Miguel. Me and Miguel drop mason off at his school and walk to ours.

Me and Miguel walk in School and look around and see Demetri and Eli. We walk over to them and Miguel and Demetri start talking. I look at Eli and we both smile at each other. "Hi,how are you doing?"I ask him. "I'm doing ok I guess,what about you?"He asks. My smile slightly goes away. "I'm doing alright"I say and look down a little. The bell rings And everyone makes their way to class.

I walk in class and look around. This was a class I didn't have with Miguel and that made it 10x worse. I sat in the back and set my stuff on the desk and stare at the front of the class room. Paper balls would come flying at my head but I ignore them and I could hear the girls in front of me saying stuff about me and making fun of me but I roll my eyes and ignore them. "Hey would you shut the fuck up?"Someone says to the girls and I look over. I see..

Eli

I smiled and the girls stopped. "Thank you" I whispered over to him and he gave me a nod and a smile. The class ended and everyone walked out. It was lunch time and I sat with Miguel, Demetri,Eli. I started eating as Miguel and Demetri have their casual conversation. I felt eyes on me as I ate and I looked up to see Eli staring at me. He looked away as soon he saw me looking at him. I giggled softly. "The Handsome hero afraid to make eye contact"I said quietly messing with him. He heard and looked at me. He made eye contact with me and smirked. "Of course not"He quietly said back. Which made butterflies flutter in my stomach. I looked away and heard him chuckle softly.

Couple days later

It was Saturday and we got some new students from the fight that happened in the cafeteria with Miguel which was pretty awesome. I got ready and walked outta my room. My brother was probably somewhere off with his friends and my mom was still asleep since she didn't have to work today. I grabbed a apple and left. I walked to the dojo eating the apple.

I walked into the dojo catching some of the guys attention I roll my eyes and walk over to Miguel. "Catching guys attention now are we there miss val?"He whispers to me jokingly. I elbow him in the side. Miguel knows about my little crush on Eli. Miguel's my best friend I can't keep anything from him and I trust me a lot Id trust him with my life.

We were training when the bells from the door of the dojo jangled I looked over and I was stunned/shocked. It was..

Eli

"Eli- what Happened?"I asked

"Bro your hair it looks lit!"Miguel exclaimed

And  everyone else was shocked.
"Fall in, Hawk" Sensei said and Eli took his shoes off and got on the mat next to me. Everyone stood straight looking at the front. "You'll be sparing the person next to you now. Begin!"Sensei said before walking to his office. I looked over at hawk then we turned facing each other and got in fighting positions. We stood there waiting for one of us to make the move. "What? Afraid to hit me darling?"He said which caused shivers to go down my spine. He smirked and I punched him in the stomach. He groaned a little. "Nope not at all pretty boy."I say and smirk. He flips me onto the ground and gets on top of me pinning he to the ground. He smirks. "That's a point for me"He says and I roll my eyes. "Yeah yeah whatever" I laugh a little "now get off" I say. "One more thing" he says and leans down and whispers in my ear "you look hot princess" he says and moves away from my ear and gets up and smirks. Butterflies fill my stomach. He puts his hand out to help me up and I grab it and he pulls me up.
