Chapter 7

(Y/n)'s P.O.V
After getting away from Knuckles and Robotnik, we got to hide out at Wade's place. "Uh Sonic, (Y/n), where are we?" Tails asked. "Welcome to the Wade cave." Wade said. "Which is something I wish I could say one day to a woman. A woman who's not my mom." He chuckled. "Wade come on focus." I sad to him. "Yeah! We need to find out why Knuckles thinks I'm the key to finding the master emerald." Sonic said. "And why did he mention Longclaw." He added. "There must be a connection." Tails said. "Wait a minute there is!" Sonic exclaimed as he goes through his bag. "Is there?" I asked him.

"Yeah! Look!" He said as he took out the map he had. "There is an emerald symbol on the map Longclaw gave me. I never knew what it meant before." He said. Suddenly a blue light was emitting from it. "Look! Something is happening!" Tails exclaimed. "Woah woah!" Sonic yelped as he dropped the map on the floor. When it touched the floor some sort of hologram or something of an owl showed up.

"Longclaw?" Sonic asked. "Hello Sonic" Longclaw greeted him. "If you're watching this then something has happened to me. And I pray that you've made it to Earth unharmed." She stated. "This world has been chosen for a very important reason. It's the secret location of the master emerald." She said as she opened her wings and revealed a hologram of the master emerald. "Woah.." Sonic exclaimed.

"The emerald has the power to turn thoughts into reality." Longclaw states. "Like the stay-puft marshmallow man from Ghostbusters." Wade said. "Shhhh!" Me and tails shushed him. "In the wrong hands it could threaten all life in the universe. Protecting the emerald was my sacred duty. And now I must pass that responsibility to you." She says. "This is my moment." Sonic says. "Follow the map. Find the emerald and keep it safe. My dear Sonic, you have a heart like no other creature I've ever known." She says. "I love you so much. Goodbye."

"No no no wait!" Sonic exclaims. He then sighs as he holds the feather that fell. "I won't let down Longclaw. He says. "So was that your dad?" Wade asks as he points to tails. "What?" Tails says. "No?" Wade says. "According to this map the first clue is in Siberia. It's a compass that will lead to the emerald." Sonic says. "And with Knuckles already here, it's a race." Tails said. "Knuckles? You know I knew a kid named 'Knuckles' in middle school. He could fit his whole fist in his mouth. If this is the same Knuckles, we are screwed." Wade said. "This Knuckles. That Knuckles. Doesn't matter. We're gonna get there first." Sonic said as he threw a ring and it lead to Siberia.

Tails chuckled nervously. "What do you mean we?" He ask. "You're coming with me." Sonic tells him. "Oh no. I just came here to warn you! I'm not a field guy." He says. "Don't worry I've got your back. I won't let anything happen to you." Sonic says as he puts out a fist bump. Tails goes up to him and looks at him puzzled. "It's a fist bump on earth it means an unbreakable promise. "Ok I'm in!" Tails said as he fist bumps Sonic.

I step up. "I'm coming too." I said. "What?! No.
(Y/n) it's too dangerous. I cant have you getting hurt" Sonic says. I let about a laugh. "Ha! Dangerous. Yeah sure. You're talking to someone whose been training in the police area. You wanna know how much it hurts to get tased? I'll let you know it's not pretty. Yet I stood my ground and felt it go through my very body." I said as I walked up to Sonic.

"Wow! What a woman!" Tails said in awe. "Why thank you Tails! Now come on! That emerald compass won't find itself!" I said. "Ok fine I'll let you come with us. But im gonna be right by your side." Sonic says. "Alrighty then! Oh wait. Wade you got a jacket by any chance? Siberia is gonna be really cold." I said. "Oh sure let me get you one." He says as he goes to grab one. He comes back and hands me it. "Here you go!" He says. "Thanks!" I chirped. I put it on and go towards the ring portal. "Come on team!" I said. "Right behind ya!" Tails said. I then felt a hand hold mine. I look over and I see Sonic holding my hand. "Lets do this!" He says. As we walk in the portal.
