Chapter 9

(Y/n)'s P.O.V
I felt something or someone nudging me from my slumber. I slowly open my eyes and look around. "(Y/n)! Help! We have a situation!" Sonic whisper yelled. I turn my head towards his voice and I see that same old lady from last night hugging him. I laugh at him. "Ah how about no." I whispered back teasingly. "(Y/n)!!! Come on this is an emergency!!" He whined.

"Okay okay! Calm down." I said. I then get up from the floor and I slowly pulled Sonic out of the woman's arms. "Oh thank goodness I thought I was gonna die." Sonic said overdramatized as he fell on my lap and snuggled up against me. I chuckle at his cuteness and hugged him back. "Alright Sonic come on we gotta wake up Tails and head out to find the master emerald." I said as I pulled away from the hug. "Right!" He said.

I slowly go over where Tails is. "Tails. Psst! Wake up fuzzball! Time to go find the master emerald!" I whispered yelled at him as I gently shook him. "Yeah come on Tails!" Sonic exclaimed. Tails slowly began to stir and wake up. "Wha-what time is it?" He asked groggily as he sat up. "It's barely morning buddy!" Sonic answered. "Awwww you look so cute waking up." I cooed as I gently pet Tails head. I heard him let out a small happy hum. "Well let's get going now can't let Clifford the red echidna get to it first." I said.

"R-Right!" Tails stuttered as he stood up and grabbed his things. "Hey! How come you never pet me?!" I heard Sonic whine. "Shhhh. You already get spoiled by my affection at home." I said. "Fair enough." I heard him say. "Yeah now come on let's go!" I said as I grabbed my jacket and put it in again.

We leave the bar place and we were soon in the sky again searching for the location of the emerald's compass or something along those lines. "WHOO HOO!" Sonic cheered. "Today's forecast calls for clear sunny skies and 100 percent chance of adventure!" He cheered out. "I've pin pointed the coordinates." Tails says. "It's right up ahead!" He says as he points in the direction in front of us.

"Wow..." Sonic said as we saw the mountain. "Yeah..wow.." I added. We then fly towards the entrance of the mountain and landed there. As soon as we landed Tails went on in front of us. "Hey Tails wait up!" Sonic said. We soon catch up with Tails and we see a door that has an owl on it? "Woah.." I said. "Okay so we got a giant owl door seems encouraging." Sonic says as we all approach it.

There was a small opening to the side and we all managed to get through. As we walked in to get to the other side of the room, Tails stopped and stared at the wall beside of us. "Woah check this out!" Tails said. "Can you translate that?" Sonic asked. "Yeah please do if you can." I said. "Yeah I can hold on." Tails said as his little gadget beeped.

"Ages ago, a fearsome group of warriors known as the Echidnas, forged the seven chaos emeralds into an unstoppable weapon ever created!" Tails began. "The master emerald." Sonic added. "With it, a single warrior could defeat entire armies. Believing no one should have such power, an order of heroes recovered the emerald and swore to protect it from evil." Tails finished. "Wow..." I said. "Sounds like the owls and echidnas have been fighting each other for centuries!" Tails said as he walked away. "Like Vin Diesel and The Rock." Sonic said. "Pfft-" I let out a sputtered laugh.

I then walked towards Tails direction. "Woah wait for me!" Sonic said. We walk into a room and we see a giant owl statue. "Okay, giant owl door, giant owl. Makes sense." Sonic said as we all walked in the room. Sonic then walks up to the giant owl and looks straight at it. "Wait a second. I've seen these symbols before." He then pulls out his map and then he moves something on the statue. Suddenly the whole room started to shake and green lights shined bright. "Well that did something." Sonic said. "No you think?" I said sarcastically.

Suddenly a giant green light scanner thingy began to scan the room. It scanned over us and stop right when it saw us ,more specifically, Sonic. There was something coming out of the statue and it landed in Sonic's hand. Sonic then puts it out to the air and it starts floating while glowing green. "Woah the compass!" Sonic says. "This will lead us to the emerald!" Tails exclaimed. "Hell yeah! We got the compass baby!" I cheered out. Sonic takes back the compass and puts it away.
