so our precious main character is written out to be a good hearted and righteous character, however, behind her valiant actions, are rude thoughts.
when sophie saw amy, her sister, in the forbidden cities, the first thing that sophie noticed was the fact that she had lost weight. if your first thought after seeing someone who you never thought you'd see again is;
"you've lost weight",
and not
"i'm so happy to see you again",
i highly doubt you are a good person.
she left out dex when she was going to the place where she was kidnapped. she should have asked dex, but instead, she decided to make the selfish and insensitive move to go without him. also, whenever sophie is off fighting the neverseen, she kicks dex aside and lets him make all the weapons. in battles, she leaves him out, even though he would be a valuable helper.
marella is also another victim of being left out by sophie. at the time where she needed her friends the most, they left her. i understand that it was for her safety, but without an explanation, it would be difficult not to create further chaos.
also, when tam comes back from his ?forced kidnapping?, sophie does nothing. absolutely nothing. she could have been a good friend, considering that she had been through a similar situation and could offer support, but no! not even a simple
"how are you?"
or an
"are you ok?"
their only interactions were just going to the neverseen's base together. there could have been so much friendly bonding, but it was wasted.
ok. sokeefe shippers. i would really appreciate it if you didn't kill me.
in unlocked, when keefe wakes up from his coma, he asks sophie to not go near him, as he is scared of hurting others, and is overwhelmed by her emotions. being around her could possibly hurt keefe and others, but for some reason, sophie is sad. she should know that keefe doesn't really mean it, but he just wants to keep her and himself safe. after all, sophie does this to everybody else all the time. but sophie just wants to be selfish. just her being around keefe hurts him, and sophie wants to stay around him.
honestly quite stupid for the smartest girl in the world.
this girl really needs to get her priorities sorted out. she focuses on who she loves, while there are many more important things happening around her. for example, in legacy, the story mainly revolves around her matchmaking drama, however, her friend has just been kidnapped for the neverseen.
but in this story, that's not important.
you should be focusing in the love triangle instead, not the fact that her friend could literally die if she and the rest of the black swan do anything wrong! not that!
*internally and externally facepalms*
and she at least could have comforted linh. sophie knows what it's like to lose a sibling.
i dont have anything else to say about this so next part
credits to @HeTheyWriter for this next part
when edaline goes to brant and gives him her custard bursts, sophie is jealous. jealous over a custard burst. a pastry.
she also knows that it's not just a pastry to edaline. but sophie still continues to be insensitive.
also, when sophie found out that grady and edaline had cancelled the adoption, she insulted them by using jolie. to be fair, the way she found out probably wasn't the ideal way to reveal it, but you don't just use someone's dead daughter against them! there are boundaries, and sophie crossed them.
for anyone saying how sophie didn't know how grady and edaline felt, this is for you.
remember way back at the beginning of the first book where sophie made the decision for her to be wiped from her parent's memories instead of being falsely pronounced dead?
yeah. she knew how it would feel.
