6-Quarantine and Freedom

Yoohyeon POV

I was sitting on a very cold cement, scribbled the nasty floor with a stone. Drawing a straight 5 lines on the floor.

It has been 5 days since I was isolated in this cramp dark room, with not even a light in this room.

If you are wondering what happened the other day, well…I thought they were going to kill me because I was infected. But instead, they decided to quarantine me after I told them the truth.

Flashback

“Demand explanation, Kim Minji.” Sooyoung started eyeing Minji, waiting for her to answer. Minji was staring at me until her eyes met at Sooyoung.

The sweat started to form on my forehead the moment I sense a tension between Minji and Sooyoung. They were only staring at each other without speaking.

After a while, Minji started to spoke. “I actually don’t know that she was infected.” That was all she could say about me. Sooyoung clicked her tongue. “You idiot! You could get all of us killed!”

“No no no, that was not I meant. She was with us in the ship. I didn’t see any zombie coming to our ship. She stayed in the ship overnight with us.” Minji said.

“Huh?”Sooyoung raised her eyebrow in confusion.

Minji then turned to look at me. “Tell them Yoohyeon. You  were with us since last night.”Her eyes was staring at the puppy,  waiting for her to answer.

Sooyoung began to stare at me. The way she stare was intimidating. It was like she stared at me through my soul.

I gulped. Not only she stared at me intimidatingly, the men that were standing beside Sooyoung were pointing at me with a gun. Their finger were touching the trigger. If I moved a bit, they might pull the trigger and shoot me in the head. I don’t want that to happen to me.

“If you kill me, you won’t be able to stop the apocalypse.” I spoke after clearing my dried throat. “My blood is immune to a zombie's virus.”

I can feel Sooyoung’s confused gaze at me. She was walking toward me, still eyeing at me. “What do you mean that your blood immune with zombie’s virus?” She responded with a deep low voice. I almost got chill just by hearing her voice. “I have seen all of our friends got bitten by the zombies, but none of them make it alive. Instead, they turned into a mindless monster. How can there is someone who is immune to a zombie's virus?” She said as she faced me.

“It was actually true I stayed with her and others in the ship overnight, but I was actually bitten by them before I met Gahyeon, Minji and Haseul. My dad told me there is a way for us to stop the apocalypse.” I told them, rubbing my right arm.

“And that is…?”Sooyoung asked, raising one of her brow.

“I have to find my half sister.”I answered.

Sooyoung started clapping her hands. “Wow wow, so in order to stop this apocalypse, you need to find your sister?” I nodded, slowly.

Sooyoung started laughing suddenly. Probably thinking that I was joking. “Do you think I am going to believe your pitiful lies? Impossible, there is no way everything you said is true. You immune to the zombie’s blood? And one way to stop this apocalypse is to find your sister?”
