15- Sooyoung's Past part 2/Intruder

“And just like that, we left our camp for good. The bad guys already invaded the camp, so we couldn’t return.”

Minji was about to cry after listening to the story that Sooyoung told her. Her mother died saving her and her uncle.

Sooyoung noticed it and laugh. “Why are you crying? This was all me, you know.”

“I know, but…” Minji picked up a random leaf on the ground and started sneezing onto it.

“I had no idea you went through all this. It’s must be sad losing your family’s member.” She said and continue sneezing onto the leaf.

“Yeah, but…it was all the past and I don’t really remember much when I was just 8.” Sooyoung said.

“After you two leave, what happened next?” Minji asked, anticipating with round 2 of Sooyoung’s past.

“Well let’s just say I was abandoned by him.”

“What? And now you were abandoned by your uncle??” Minji started crying. Sooyoung started panicking. “O-of course not. I actually didn’t ‘abandoned’ by him. I was just left alone in a cave because he said he wanted to check out our camp for a bit.”

Michael saw a cave in a mountain nearby, so he went to the cave with Sooyoung that was still crying over her mother being shot.

“Do you think mama will be alright?” Sooyoung asked with teary eyes.

Michael doesn’t want to say that her mother is dead since she being shot by the silver bullet which impossible for a werewolf to survive. So he lied to the poor girl.

“Of course, she will be alright.” Michael smile at her to reassure her. “Stay here until I come back. I will bring your mama here.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, don’t leave the cave and be a good girl, okay?” Michael patted on her head. Sooyoung nodded.

Just like that, he left, leaving Sooyoung all alone in the dark cave. Sooyoung knew whatever Michael said was a lie. Her mother is actually died. She has seen the moment her mother was about to die.

Sooyoung leaned back onto the wall and slowly sat on the dirty ground while hugging her legs.

“What do you mean Mama will be alright? She is dead. I have seen her with my own eyes.” Sooyoung murmured.

And so, Sooyoung was waiting for Michael in the cave.

Minutes become hours, hours become days, days become weeks. Weeks become months . Months become years.

During those 2 years, Sooyoung kept waiting and waiting for Michael to come back. But he failed to. Whether he forgot all about her after he left or that mysterious woman killed him

Sooyoung sighed.

Sooyoung has turned 10 on that day. She already mature enough to know that Michael won’t come back.

So she decided to start her new adventures by leaving the cave. There was no point to wait Michael for years.

How did she survive during 2 years?
Well, the answer is simple. Before all this happened, Michael already trained her to become a skill hunter, so she hunted hundred of animals nearby in the forest to prevent her from starving to death.  She hunt day and night, thinking Michael will come back for her like he promised.

But he didn’t.

That’s why she decided to leave the cave and explore the whole world by herself.
