16-The human boys that became werewolves

Ten years ago, there were five boys living in an Orphanage. They weren’t exactly blood-related, but they were close like brothers. People does mistaken them as siblings.

The five boys were namely Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai. Despite Yeonjun was the oldest of them all, Soobin, the second oldest was the leader of that group. He was a carefree leader who always helped his teammates in possible ways he can. He makes sure that his teammates eat or have enough sleep.

Their teammates were envy of Soobin because of his carefree attitude. They wanted to be like him who doesn’t care what would happen to them when they grows older. But what they think of Soobin was opposite. Soobin wasn’t actually born being carefree. In his heart was full of darkness anticipating that one day someone will light his heart. But no one did. Not even his friends that he treated them as brothers. Just like the rest of them, he was scared what may happened if no one adopts him or his non-related brothers.

The orphanage set a strict rule long ago. Once they turned 18, they have no choice but to leave the Orphanage immediately.

Soobin had saw all of his other friends left the orphanage when they turned 18, crying when they made their way to leave the orphanage.

One day, there was an emergency call, warning them that there were a zombie outbreak. And of course, all the adults that managed the orphans quickly left the damn orphanage not to forget to lock the door of the orphanage house and left all the orphan children to fend themselves.

The adults were coward, there was Soobin thought. They were left nothing by the adults. All their food supplies were taken, the door was locked, so they couldn’t escape.

Huening Kai nearly scream when he saw a head popped out from the glass window door.

“Mmmhhsh…” Huening Kai was covering his mouth too hard so that he couldn’t make any noise.

“Kai, are you okay? What happe-?” Yeonjun paused, now realized there were something roaming outside, so he quickly duck down, terrifying of what he just saw. His face was white as pale.

“G-guys…”

“Yeonjun, Kai, what’s going on? Are you okay?” As a leader, Soobin was concerned of two of their brothers' sudden behavior.

“O-outside…th-there something outside.” Yeonjun stammered.

Soobin immediately went to one of the curtain of the window, pulling it away slightly. And there, he saw a group of people walking around aimlessly. No, they doesn’t look like any normal people. They had their shirts and pants torn which was covered with blood.

Blood were spilling out from their mouth as they were letting out their rough groan and moan.

“What do you think was that?” Beomgyu suddenly spoke. Soobin shrugged his shoulder.
“I don’t know, they look like people…but at the same time…they are not.” Soobin said. He looks confuse as much as his brothers are.

“What do you mean?” Beomgyu asked.

“Hah I-I know wh-what they are…” Taehyun stuttered as he fell backward.

All his brothers’ attention were fully him.

“Th-they are zombies!”

Eventually, everyone in the orphanage started panicking as they heard what Taehyun has said.

Soobin, however, didn’t know what are zombies. Unlike his brothers, he doesn’t have time to watch any television show. He was mostly in the room, reading and studying. “Zombies? What is that?”
