She once believed in fairytales.

If she was asked to describe what Asgard looks like, she'd say it looks like it came out of a fairytale book. It is the home of the most powerful gods among the Nine Realms after all.

And she believes she doesn't belong to be there.

To be in the presence of gods.

Even though it was the last thing she wants in life.

Serena sighed, she bit her lip while staring at the golden envelope between her fingers. She hasn't slept ever since she was given the invitation. The man, Thor hardly even knew her, and yet he gave her an invitation to a ball held by his family.

Just when she thought people are so cruel, she meets Thor, the God of Thunder, son of Odin.

And one more thing is she's going to meet the woman she's been dying to see for days no matter how much she denied it.

Serena looked down, feeling a warm paw on her knee. She offered a small smile upon seeing Belle whimpering, her head on the blonde's lap.

"I'm alright, Belle." Serena reassured

Belle whimpered louder

"Alright, let's take a nap." Serena carefully placed the invitation under the book on the table before getting up from the floor, she'll make her decision once she and Belle gets a good nap

Belle surprisingly knows how to force her how to take a rest since her body is still sore from fighting three people at once, not to mention one of them is wearing an iron suit and shoots lasers out of his palm, one is a spider, and one is a supersoldier.

When she thought a nap would help her make a decision, it didn't. Serena stared at her newly baked muffins lying on the table, baking was one way to reduce her stress.

It was a side of her that no one knows.

"Hey, you can't eat those." she gently pushed Belle's mouth away from her muffins "They are chocolates and chocolates are bad for dogs, you will die."

Belle shivered, immediately hiding behind her owner, glaring angrily at the muffins.

Serena chuckles, petting her dog's head. Her afternoon was interrupted by a knock on the door, surely that wasn't Yelena or Natasha since those two don't knock on her door. She made her way towards the door, dusting her flour covered hands.

Outside, standing in front of her apartment was the same little girl that moved in days ago. What was her name again? Oh, yes Penelope.

Serena smiled "Hey, Penelope!"

Penelope waved "Hi, pretty lady!"

"Again, thank you for the gift. It was delicious!"

"Oh, no problem! I like baking!"

Serena raised an eyebrow "Oh? Then you wouldn't mind helping me bake, then? If that's alright with you and your parents, of course."

Penelope nodded eagerly "They're not home, I said I was going to stay with a nice neighbor!"

Serena nods, opening her door further to welcome the little girl inside. Penelope gasped upon seeing Belle, she rushed towards the dog, petting her.

"Her name is Belle," Serena said

"She's fluffy!" Penelope giggled

Belle barked, walking away from the girl only for Penelope to follow her everywhere she went. The sight made Serena chuckle, she's never seen Belle with children before and now she knows why.
