It was late in the evening, the cold wind along with the light rain knocked against her window. She was standing near the window, looking out to watch the rain drop.

She felt a pair of arms wrapped around her waist, hugging her from behind. Hela buried her face in the crook of Serena's neck, sighing. Her hair was still wet from the shower and she was wearing one of Serena's shirts even though it looked small on her.

"I've never experienced such weather before..."

Serena crossed her arms, glancing at their reflection on the glass. She smiled before leaning to Hela's body, enjoying their shared warmth.

"You've never experienced rain?"

"No, no, rain is normal. When I went to wars in the past, there would always be a storm due to my father." Hela frowned "I always hated it."

Serena chuckled at the sight of Hela's face "I also hate doing missions when it's raining, if that makes you feel better" she said

Hela raised an eyebrow "My darling? Trying to make me feel better? What Norn possessed you?"

Serena hit her stomach in return. Hela chuckled, she puts Serena's ash blonde hair on her other shoulder before pressing a kiss against the side of her neck.

They stood there in silence, watching the rain drop while enjoying each other's warmth and company. Serena usually enjoys staring outside the window, being lost in her thoughts alone but it felt nice to have someone with her. She breathes deeply, letting her hand drop on Hela's that was on her stomach.

She looked over her shoulder when she felt Hela lift her head, she flashed a small smile despite being nervous that Hela might not like it or she might leave her or feel awkward. Instead, Hela smiled at her and intertwined their fingers as they continued to watch the rain drop.

Serena lets out a sigh of relief, she allowed herself to relax again and leaned deeper into Hela's body.

"What are you thinking?" the blonde asked

Hela shrugged "The time my father died."

"What about it?" the blonde asks again

Hela sighed "I just wish I could've seen him die."

Serena lets out a soft "Oh..." she blinked, definitely not expecting that answer. She didn't know Hela hated her father, in fact, she doesn't know anything about the Goddess of Death

"I hate my father, he was the worst." Hela started telling as if she read Serena's mind so the blonde remained quiet, listening "He molded me into what I am now, he turned me into a monster, he raised me as a weapon." she tightened her arms around the blonde's waist "Every king had an executioner, I was Odin's. Together, we took over the realms but he stopped at nine. I outgrew his ambition, I wanted to take all over the whole cosmos so he locked me away like an animal."

"Then what happened?"

"We were unstoppable. I was his weapon to every conquest and then he suddenly decided to have a change of heart." Hela stared outside the window, her words filled with bitterness and anger "He wanted to be a great king, to have a good empire, to remarry, to have great children. And to do that, he needed to get rid of me and so he did."

"He locked you away?"

"He imprisoned me in Hel, condemned me to rule for eternity. To ensure that I wouldn't escape, he bound his lifeforce to Hel, making sure that I wouldn't escape for as long as he lived."

"You also rule in another realm? Not just Asgard?"

"Not just Asgard, darling." Hela smirked "And I assure you..." she grabbed Serena's hand, bringing it to her lips "You will reign as my queen on both realms. I will have my people respect you as much as they do to me." she sealed her promise with a kiss against the blonde's white knuckles
