Waking up in Asgard was one of the best things she's ever experienced. It felt so peaceful and calm, no blazing sun stinging her eyes, no annoying vehicles, and screaming people outside the window.

The fresh air felt great. It's interesting how cold it was even though it wasn't the winter season yet. She remembers Thor saying Asgard experiences other seasons such as summer and winter, sometimes they even get to experience rain whenever he or one of his siblings is angry.

Maybe she should come and live here.

Serena rolled over, opening her eyes before touching the other side of the bed where the Goddess of Death was supposed to be. The side was still warm but the goddess was nowhere to be seen, she knew Hela wakes up early to start her day since she was the Queen and has important duties.

But it still felt lonely waking up without her.

Serena pulled herself into a sitting position, a smile formed on her lips upon seeing Belle lazily lying down on the golden floor, snoring peacefully.

After the incident with the Avengers, mainly on Natasha Romanoff, Serena decided to stay on Asgard for a few more days with Belle to ensure their safety. They might come back for them with more security and people, as much as she's killed thousands, her body feels like rusting metal.

She was unemployed now, no job or title.

They can arrest her anytime they want but making an enemy out of her will be a huge mistake. She was a skilled assassin, her skills and strength can be used by the government, they successfully recruited Natasha Romanoff before, she was sure they'll try that approach on her too.

The thought of working under S.H.I.E.LD made her chuckle, it was completely ridiculous.

With a grunt, Serena opened the door and walked out of the Queen's chambers. She was sure the door was heavy but it was nothing to her. The guards and several servants greeted her as she walked.

After staying for three days, she was starting to get familiar with the palace. In the morning, she goes down to the training grounds in hope to find a strong opponent. The guards didn't put up much of a fight, she fought some of the warriors, but none of them met her strength and skills.

She tried to convince Hela to come and help her train but the goddess was too busy doing her duties they barely even get to spend time together.

Though, Hela makes it up to her by night...

Serena smiled to herself while walking, ever since she started staying in the palace, she and Hela became closer than ever. Even Thor and Loki were starting to grow close with her, they sometimes take her hunting with them and the others.

Not to mention, Fenrir was also starting to like her. The giant wolf was stubborn like his owner, he and Hela weren't very different. It was easy for Serena to read the wolf's movements and sounds.

"Oh, Loki?" the prince was standing near the training guards, it seemed like he was watching them and memorizing their moves

Serena stood beside him, it was the first time she saw the youngest prince in the training ground.

Loki turned to see her "Lovely morning, Serena."

"It is, morning to you too." the blonde smiled while wrapping bandages around her hands, she tries to hide her scars as much as possible when going outside

It was no different here, she was just a mortal staying in the palace. An outsider. She was aware of the rumors and whisperings about the royal family letting a mere useless mortal stay in the palace.
