I got woken up by a police officer knocking on the door walking into the hospital room with a notepad in his hand .
"Are you Jaliyah." The cop asked walking in
"Yes ." I answered trying to sit up
"I'm officer Carter I have a few questions for you ." He said
"About the shooting?." I asked him
"Yes , now did you get to make eye contact with the person who shot you or did you know the person." He asked getting straight to the question
"No I didn't know the person and no ." I said answering to both of the questions
"So you have no idea why someone would do this too you ." He asked
"You don't have no enemy's? "
"I don't have no enemy's , the shooter was really aiming for my boyfriend ." I said thinking about any people Jay had problems with .
"And who's this boyfriend." He said taking his notepad getting ready to write it down .
I knew if I gave him Jays name it would've gotten him in trouble , especially knowing his background.
"I think I rather not give you his name " I said
" But I did take a picture of the license plate before they sped off ." I said remembering and taking my phone out
He wrote it down in his notebook
"Thank you here's my card if anything , I'll be back for more further questions ." He said walking out .
Jay came in the room muggin the officer walking out
"How you feeling ." He asked while hugging me
"Ouch" I said In pain from in my lower body
"Dam my bad." He said feeling bad
"But what you told that nigga " He asked referring to Officer Carter
" he was just asking me if I knew the person or seen the person that did it ." I answered
"And" he said expecting me to keep talking
"That was it ." I lied
I didn't wanna bring up the cop wanting to know his name
"Well I'm going to the trap tomorrow to find out what nigga shot at us ." He said in anger
"Yes we definitely need to because I don't want this type of shit to happen again , especially when the baby comes ." I said rubbing my stomach
"You don't know ." He looked up from his phone looking sad
"About what ." In confusion
"You lost the baby." He said covering his face with his hands
"WHAT!." I screamed in pain and shock as I started crying
Jay came over to me hugging me and trying to calm me down.
But I cried so loud the nurses came running in the room as I dropped to the floor Sobbing in pain.
