Mingyu walked out of his apartment with a sigh.

"Fuck, I should've bought more paint when I went to the store a few days ago," he grumbled as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Shit... how much do I need? I'm almost done with the portrait... plus I just need black, blue, red and white."

"Should I take my bike or walk? The store is about ten minutes away on foot but five on my bike..." he asked himself, stopping in front of his bicycle.

He mentally fought with himself before deciding to just go on foot. "I need the exercise anyway." He told himself as he began to walk.

Mingyu liked taking walks. The area he lived in wasn't busy, and it was always peaceful. When he was still looking for a place when he returned, he chose this area because of the small shops.

Small art supply stores, bakeries, cafes and more.

He liked how aesthetically pleasing everything in the area looked. If he was into photography, he would have taken pictures of this place daily.

"Maybe I should bring Tae Hyung to," he cut himself off with a sigh. "Oh yeah..."

"I should talk to the guys soon, huh?" He asked himself. "I doubt they'll believe me because of their close relationship with Lia."

Mingyu desperately wanted to talk to one of them. Just one.

He wanted to, but he was scared. Scared of what the consequences could be if he finally decided to speak up.

He could clear his name, but that would ruin Lia's relationship with them. And he didn't want that. But did it make sense to have those guys hate him because they think he left Lia for another even though he didn't?

"Mingyu?" The males turned around with wide eyes. "Lia..."

"You're not running away?" She chuckled, and he fell quiet. "I was surprised and o-overwhelmed then."

'Gosh, she still looks so beautiful.'

"Ah, I see... how have you been, Mingyu?" She asked, walking up to him. "Have you been well, hm?"

"To buy some paint... what're you doing here? You don't live in this area-"

"How would you know?" Lia chuckled. "We haven't seen each other in a little over two years. How would you know, huh?"

"I-"

"You're right. I don't live here. But, I came here since the last time I saw you, you were around here. I'm glad I bumped into you... It was what I was hoping for," Lia told him with a soft smile on her face.

"You wanted to see me?" He frowned, and she hummed in response. "Why? Because you want to tell me about your relationship with your best friend and his partners?"

"Precisely. Because I don't have much to say, there's no need to sit somewhere." Lia said before letting out a sigh.

"Don't you dare go around and tell people I left you for Namjoon and the others when you know damn well it was the other way around."

"What do you mean it was the other way around? I'll admit that you didn't leave me. I left because you asked me to leave you. You asked me to move far away and leave you so that you could be happy and become Namjoon's girlfriend. And tell me, Li... how did that turn out? Are you their girlfriend? Are you happy?" Mingyu asked, looking at Lia.

"It's fucking y/n's fault," she muttered.

"How it is her fault? The universe gave her those guys. She didn't have to get their attention and hope they eventually fell for her." He told her.

"She came into the picture too soon."

Mingyu couldn't help but roll his eyes. "That girl came into the picture at the right time. You're to blame for not being with Namjoon, Yoongi Hyung and the others. You decided to go abroad for two years, wasting the perfect opportunity to build your relationship with them."

Mingyu said as tears began to brim in his eyes. The male wanted to pretend like he didn't know why he felt like crying, but he couldn't.

'I went away for you. I left everything to make you happy. I was hoping to come back and see you happy with those guys, but you're not. I'm not hurt because you're not happy with them... I'm upset because my efforts went to waste.'

"What do you know about, y/n?" Lia scoffed. "Not much, but all I can say is that I'm happy you went abroad."

Lia's eyes widened. "What?"

"If you hadn't gone abroad, I doubt y/n would've been with who she belongs with. I'm it's y/n in their relationship, and not you. Good luck trying to force your way into their relationship, Lia. I'm pretty sure the bond they have is unbreakable." Mingyu said before turning away. 'At least I hope so.'

He didn't look back as he began to walk back to his apartment, leaving Lia dumbstruck.

Mingyu's words only infuriated her more. Everyone seemed to be on your side, and she hated that. Even her soulmate, who once rooted for her relationship with Namjoon and the others, was now routing for you.

"I was planning on going step by step, but fuck it."

.

As soon as he got into his apartment, he closed the door before sliding down it.

Mingyu clutched his chest as if it'd stop his heart from hurting. "I thought that maybe, she would've realised I was the one for her by now. And stopped her obsession with Hyung and his boyfriends."

He whipped his tears and slowly got up before making his way toward the kitchen.

He opened a drawer and pulled out a knife. "Hopefully, this will be sharp enough." And then he made his way to the room he used for his art.

Closing the door behind him, he turned to face the unfinished portrait with tears in his eyes.

"I spent hours and days on this because I wanted everything to be perfect," he chuckled. "I wanted it to be perfect for you. Just for you."

He brought the knife up before piercing it through the canvas and dragging it down.

This was the second time Mingyu destroyed something he had made that was supposed to be a gift for Lia.

First, it was an album of songs, some with lyrics, some without and now it was a painting.

Mingyu was tired. Tired of doing everything she pleased just to get discarded instead of appreciated.

And knew that he had enough.

"This time, I will not let you have your way, Kim Lia."
