When I wake up Kenji is still beside me. I look up at the clock and it's only 4 am, jeez. I guess I'm used to waking up early. I put my head back on the pillow, the lights are still off. He adjusts a little and I'm worried I've woken him up. Instead, he pulls me close to his chest and sighs into my hair.
"Morning, Boo."
"You can sleep for longer, you know."
"Mhmm- I have to get up soon."
He snuggles into me. I sigh and snuggle into him.
"Ugghhh, Y/n. Why? Why can't we just stay here?"
"You have to get up soon, Kenj."
"I know."
"You can come back later." I give him a kiss on his forehead.
"Okay, I have to go then."
"Yeah, go before Kent and James get up. Or Kent'll have your head."
"That's true. I'll see you later, Y/n/n."
He gets up and leaves. I sit up in my bed. I wore Kenji's sweatpants last night. He never asked for them back.

After a while, my breakfast comes. I eat and lay on my bed, feet resting on the wall.
"Hey, Y/n!"
"Lily! Hey!"
"Let's go, I have a surprise for you today."
"Really?"
"Yep, Kenji trusts me too much sometimes."
She links her arm through mine and pulls me out the door. We walk down a few halls.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"Library. I figured you must be pretty bored in your room all day."
"A library?!? Thank you, Lily! I am bored."
I pull her into a rib-crushing hug. "I didn't think you would have a library here."
"Well, most of these books are really old or are almost destroyed."
"That's fine."
We enter the room and I look at all the shelves.
"Wow." I say breathlessly, " I haven't been in a real library for years."
I go up and down the shelves looking for anything interesting. I find an old-looking book titled 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.' It looks like one of the ones I was supposed to decide on keeping or not. I grab it and the next three books. I see another book with four girls on the front, I grab it too. I can barely carry them all. We stop back at my room and I put the books down. I take a quick shower and Lily drops me back off again. I pick up one of my new books and start reading.

By the time Kenji comes back I've finished the four 'Harry Potter' books I took and am almost finished with Little Women.

"Hi, Kenj," I say happily.

"Hey, Y/n/n. What's up?"

"Nothing, I spent all day reading."   

"Where'd you get books from?"

"Lily and I went to the library."

"She's only supposed to take you to the showers, though."

"It's fine."

"It's not me you need to worry about, Boo." He sits beside me on the floor. "This is comfy."

"Totally," I say. He rests his head on my shoulder and I lean into him. "How was your day?"

"Well..." He tells me about his day. Everything about it. I like being able to be there for him. He accidentally fell asleep while we were sitting on the floor so I had to wake him up to get him to move. He falls back onto my bed without giving it another thought. I watch him quickly fall asleep.
He must've had a really tiring day.
I lay down next to him and he pulls me into his chest. I smile and shake my head. I eventually fall asleep as well.

My days go like that for a while. Lily brings me around the whole place and we explore, as she calls it. Kenji falls asleep in my room and leaves really early. I still haven't seen Castle, Aaron, or Juliette.

I was changing my clothes after waiting for Kenji for almost an hour. I had my shirt off when he walked in. I turned around and saw him.
"Kenji!" I shout and attempt to grab my shirt. Before I can he grabs my arm and turns me around.
"Where did you get all these scars?" He asks concerned. "Are you okay?"
I pull away a little and try to put my shirt on again. He grabs my hands.
"Y/n. Tell me."
"Where do you think I got them? My father. I have one for every birthday since I was six."
My back is turned to him. He takes a finger and traces over the scars. I pull away a little. I turn to face him, tears welling up in my eyes.
"Boo,"
He pulls me into a hug. I cover my eyes and start to cry.
"Hey, hey, hey. Don't cry. It's okay. I'm here. Your not there anymore. We're together. Nothing will happen to you."
"You really believe that? Something will happen. I know it."
"But not right now. Nothing's happening right now."
I hate lying to him. My father is going to do something. He'll be preparing for war.
"Okay."
"Okay. See we're fine, everything's fine."
He pulls me close to his chest again. I look up at him. His brown eyes staring into mine. His eyes move down and focus on my mouth. I can tell what he's thinking. I press up onto my tiptoes and kiss him. He seems shocked at first but after a few seconds kisses me back. He pulls me closer deepening our kiss. We both let go of each other. He has a dazed smile on his face.
"I didn't expect that, Y/n."
"Me neither."
I pull him to a sitting position on my bed. I lay back and look at the ceiling. He follows me. I put my head under his arm. He pulls me towards him.
"Sorry I was late, Boo."
"That's okay, I wasn't waiting that long. Why though?"
"I took James to the hospital wing."
"What?!" I sit up quickly.
"No, no, no," he rubs my back. "He's okay. He might have powers as well. You know, like Kent. I wonder if you and Warner have something too?"
"I think I might."
"What do you mean?"
"What's your power? Then I'll tell you."
" I can go invisible on command."
"Then I know what my power is. I think I can see through that."
"You can see me when I turn invisible?"
"I think so."
"Huh, wow."
I lay back down and he pulls me close to his chest again. "Kenj?"
"Yes." He replies tiredly.
"My father."
"What about him?"
"He'll be preparing for war."
