Stomach to the sky, paws bent at the wrist,

she worms side to side,

enveloped in the sun,

her barks echoes of the past.

***

The break of dawn

a bird

cutting through the sky.

***

Crums on the pavement, the ants

creep toward their hill.

***

On the vacant beach,

with umbrellas toppling,

restless waves crash and crash.

These were written on February 23, 2022.

These are the poems I wrote as part of an exercise in our poetry unit in Writer's Craft.

I didn't actually share these with anyone but I kinda like them :)

They're supposed to evoke images in your head as you read them. Did it work?

Have a nice day!
