Klaus's POV
Slamming the door of my mansion opened and closed I head upstairs to my room unlocking a coffin slowly. My siblings except for Elijah are still daggered inside a storage unit. But this one is much more special and needs to be right by my side at all times. For it contains the love of my immortal life. My dear princess Y/n. I met her at a ball when Rebekah suggested we pose as the nobles we drained of blood while we were on from our father Mikeal, the vampire who hunts vampires. We were still new to controlling our thirst for blood. But I'll thank her everyday because if we hadn't gone. I wouldn't have met my darling.

My eyes stay trained on her sleeping form resting in the coffin. Her hair is completely loose falling perfectly over her shoulders and some has fallen over her eyes. Reaching down I gently brush it from her eyes. I never intended to lose her this way. We had a plan, sure it wasn't perfect because it meant she would be running from my father for the rest of her life. Regardless it meant we could be together, forever. A king and his queen. I didn't miss being human until the day I lost her. Ever since that night outside her family's castle I've never almost begged to be human again in my life. Just because I thought for a split second that they had killed her. But that isn't the case, no they cursed her. Like my mother cursed me to not have my werewolf side.

Lifting her right arm up I pick up an envelope containing a letter that has survived over the years by the protection of the coffin. One that she wrote the night before everything went up in flames. Laying her arm back hiw it was I plopped down in a chair I pulled up next to her. Gently pulling the letter out of the envelope I bit my lip trying to not cry again. I preferred painting and occasionally drawing her when she wasn't looking. But she was gifted with showing beauty through the written word. In her chambers in the castle I can still picture piles of her old journals containing her adventures. It didn't matter if it was a conversation between her and her best friend Brooke or was it a story of our romance. She would write it down without a second thought.

"Dear Nik, if you're reading this then I can only imagine that I'm off enjoying life. And you're sitting wherever we are reading this. Because you choose to avoid going into my mind. Instead you like to read where I write my thoughts as a story. I know who I'll miss after writing this letter, my family and especially Brooke. Once we're gone she'll probably be heartbroken. So I suppose I could just ask you to turn her once you turn me. But I don't know if that would make me a monster or not. You know looking back on my choice I don't regret asking you to make me immortal. The reason I don't regret anything involving you is because there is no one else like you, Nik. You vowed to show me everything the world has to offer. You vowed to tear anyone apart who tries to hurt me or upset me. But above all, you vowed to love with me you're whole heart if I was okay loving a monster. Yet you aren't that, you're the man I love. And you'll be the only man I'll love, always - your princess."

Sucking in a shacky breath I closed the letter putting it back in the envelope. Feeling tears falling down my face so I grabbed her right hand in mine even though she can't squeeze my hand back. "Y/n, if you can hear me I'm close to solve my curse...I'm almost close to becoming a hybrid. But don't think that I haven't been working to free you from your prison. I have scowered the world looking for the most powerful witches, and I really despise them you know..." I wipe away tears with my freehand resting my chin in the palm of my hand watching her longingly. "Once I wake you up I'll make good on my promise to offer you everything the world has in stored for you. There are decades that you would have loved and ones that you wished you could forget, trust me love. Y/n, there's one thing you won't have to worry about. You won't have to run because my father has stopped chasing us for a few years now. We can marry and be together like we talked about. I love you, always."

Hiding the letter under her arm again I get to my feet and leaning down planting a kiss to her cold forehead. Getting one last glance of her sleeping beauty then closing the coffin at hearing foosteps approaching. "Niklaus, I am sorry that she can't be by your side." Tilting my head down I run my fingers through my hair sighing heavily before turning to my brother. "She - she didn't deserve this. She should be running out and seeing this world. Not lying asleep in the coffin - and missing new experiences..." Elijah walked up feeling sorry for his brother. He didn't know you were but he saw that you indeed made his brother happier than anyone else had. He was running around trying to break your curse and his own all at the same time. "I have something that could be promising on waking Y/n, brother." I lift my head up at his words. I didn't want to be lead on another hope only for the witch to fail. But Elijah seems hopeful about this one. "There's a witch in Mystic Falls that is in the bloodline of one of the witches that preformed the spell on her. There's someone of the Bennette bloodline, brother." I mumble under my breath knowing the witch he was talking about. "Bonnie Bennette."
