A warm breeze blew, making the bright blooming flowers to sway along. The sun blazed over the lands of Wakanda which was unusual for a spring morning. "I didn't expect you to be out in this heat, Ronan." The man slowly turned as a smile grew on his face, watching his wife descend into the valley. "Well, it is quite beautiful isn't it?" He said, shifting his gaze back onto the scenery.

"That's one of the great things about Wakanda, its beauty is truly unmatched." She said while standing at his side. "Mhm I disagree. You're beauty is incomparable." Ronan said as he wrapped his arms around the woman, embracing her into a tight side hug. "You're so corny." She laughed out, trying to break free of the hug. The couple laughed under the blazing sun, accidentally crushing flowers as they playfully pushed each other around.

"Ok, ok, I quit!" The woman said between laughs. Ronan only tickled her more. "I won't stop until you apologize, Layla." He smiled as he continued to tickle her. "Ok, I'm sorry!" She said on the verge tears. The couple's laughs echoed through out the valley. Layla had dusted herself off as she stood back onto her feet. "Never do that again." She pointed at Ronan, who could only smile harder. "No promises." He shrugged.

Layla sighed as she wrapped herself back into his arms, looking back at the scene before them. "I never want this day to end. It's too perfect." She huffed. Ronan caressed her hair as they swayed, staring at the seemingly endless mountains. "It will,  but what my mother always told me is that even when day ends no matter how great, there's always tomorrow so strive to make that one even better." He said giving her a kiss on the forehead. The woman giggled at his touch. "Y'know I've always been meaning to tell you that-" she started before she let out a deep sigh.

"That?" Ronan questioned as he looked at her with a puzzled expression. He suddenly felt her body weight shift onto him as if she was going limp. "Layla?" He called out to her, as she started to fall in his arms. He quickly laid her down as he stared into her eyes which frighteningly looked lifeless. "Layla?!" He yelled out to her as he shook her. She was unresponsive. His eyes grew as his heart rate quickened. He examined her body quickly until he looked at her hands. Her fingertips were turning black and it was spreading. "That's dark magic." Said a deep voice behind Ronan.

The man quickly turned towards the voice, only to be met with the fiery sun. A silhouette finally submerged slowly out from the flames. The being had the head of a falcon and the body of a man. "Ra, please, help me. It's Layla." Ronan pleaded to the floating specimen. "You know I can't interfere with mankind, Ronan." In the blink of an eye, Ra was now behind him, sitting in a nearby tree.

"Please, I'll do anything! Anything you want!" He yelled while holding Layla tightly. Ra gazed upon the panicky man, feeling his energy as truthful and trustworthy. "Alright, but as my avatar you understand the consequences if you can not hold up your end of the deal." Ra said descending down the tree. "Yes, yes I do." Ronan quickly said.
