"You can't keep up, huh, Hera?" The boy yelled behind him. "Oh you wish!" A voice yelled. Suddenly, the boy could see a girl dashing past him, at an abnormal speed. "Eat my dust, Ezra!" She called out as she made her way to the endpoint of the race.

The wind blew through her hair as she ran. Looking to her right, expecting Ezra, she could see a black streak keeping up with her. She came to an abrupt stop at the nearby tree, causing dirt to fly into the air. The large animal stopped right in front of her before creeping forward towards her. The panther maintained eye contact as it continued to pursue the girl. "Good one, Cora." It spoke before morphing right in front of her into a entity with a human body but the head of a feline.

"What's the score now, hm, Bastet? Four to none?" She said with a sly smirk plastered on her face. "That wasn't fair, she used her speed." Ezra said, finally reaching the endpoint. "She harnessed her abilities, Ezra. She used her powers to benefit. Seems like you need to take notes." Another voice laughed out. The boy turned his head to watch the lion morph into an entity with the body of a human and the head of a lion.

"I hope she's saying that you need to start retaining knowledge in that big head of yours." Cora said with a smile. The two couldn't see each other's Gods, meaning, they could only communicate with them through each other. "But, Sekhmet-" he started. "No buts." She said giving him a sly smile. "You know your end of the bargain." Cora said as she crossed her arms triumphantly.

The boy groaned as he began to hop on one foot back to where they had come from. Cora giggled as she watched Ezra "Meet you back home!" She yelled before turning back to Bastet who wasn't laughing. "Is there something wrong?..." she questioned.

"You're dreaming Cora. Wake up." The God had said. The words echoed throughout her surroundings. "What?" She asked, looking around everywhere the noise was coming from. "Wake up!" She said again. The voice echoed even louder now, causing Cora to cover her ears as if that would stop it. "Wake up!" She repeated. The world around Cora started to blur and blend together before it had just turned dark.

Cora gasped for air as she rose up from the comfort of her pillows. She was met with the sun beaming onto her face from her condo window that she forgot to cover with the curtains last night. A loud and long groan escaped from her mouth as she rubbed the sleep off of her face. She rolled the covers off of her body, now having to deal with the cold air coming through the window.

She stretched her arms out wide, followed with another groan, before walking slowly out of her room. The floorboards creaked with every step as she made her way to the kitchen. Cora reached for the coffee pot, passing an already-made cup of coffee on the counter. The woman back treaded to the coffee and looked at it with a puzzled expression. "What the fu-" she started.

"Good-morning, Cora." A womanly voice said behind her. The girl jumped as she quickly turned around to see the feline headed woman leaning on her dining table. "What the hell?!" She said catching her breath. "Didn't mean to startle you, and I actually didn't think I would, since you have my ability of heightened senses." She said with a shrug. The girl sighed as she picked up the coffee cup. "What the hell do you want?" She said taking a quick sip to then take a long one. "How do you know how I like my coffee?" Cora questioned, looking mysteriously at the coffee cup.  "I've watched you long enough to know how you like your coffee." She said with a cocky laugh.
