The Confession

Two hours after the party, Amy wanted to tell me "Hey uh, could I ask you about something?". "Oh, sure!" I responded. She then pulled me aside. "So like, I know that you like Sonic. I mean the way you blush around him is enough proof for me." She said. I immediately panicked at this.

Amy was always one of those gossip girls at school, telling a bunch of secrets about basically everyone. And now that she knows about this, she's gonna tell everyone. By the time I get back to school, everyone's gonna be whispering about me. And hell, I might even be made fun of for it, I may need to switch schools because of it.

Also, she might get mad at me for it too. She has a VERY big crush on Sonic, some people at our school even think those two are dating. But the thing is, Sonic has said he's not interested in her before, and he's publicly turned her down so many times I can't even count at this point. Plus he's 15 and she's 12, that age gap is too much.

But with either of these issues, my ass could be in serious trouble.

"Yes. Please don't tell anyone-" I said. Internally, I was petrified. "Don't worry I won't. And I won't try to ruin your chances with him either. I'm not that type of person" She smiled. I breathed a sigh of relief, thank God. "Oh. Then is there anything else you want to tell me?" I asked. "Well, I want to help you get with him! You two seem like a cute couple." She replied. "Ah okay!" I said.

"So like, do you know how you'll confess to him?" She asked. I shook my head. "Oh come on, Silver. You can't just confess without a plan!" She remarked. "I know I know, I'm trying to think of one right now" I said. She smirked, "Well I know exactly who to ask for help..". She then grabbed my hand and ran, "WHERE ARE WE GOING-" I yelled.

When we finally stopped, she tapped Shadow on the shoulder. I chuckled, there is no way that Shadow can help ME. I don't think that he even likes me in the first place. "Hey, Shadow! A certain someone needs help confessing to their crush. Could you help them?" Amy asked. Shadow looked at Amy, then looked at me. "Sure." Amy smiled at me, "Go on Silver, go tell him what's up!". She then shoved me so I would be closer to him.

"So, I have a crush on someone. They're here at the beach with us, and I need to tell them before we leave." I said. "If I may ask, why do you need to confess to them before we leave?" He asked. "Well because I've been stalling for a week." I replied. "I see, well don't worry, I know exactly how to help." He replied. "I wasn't at the party today, was busy exploring this beach. While exploring, I found a flower field, at the end of the boardwalk. I remember you saying that those were your favorite flowers, so that would be the perfect place to confess to them." He said.

"That's great Shadow but, HOW am I supposed to confess to them. Like I know WHERE but how am I supposed to do it?" I asked. "How about you can tap them on the shoulder, and ask them to come with you. If they say yes, then tell him to follow you and walk to the end of the boardwalk. Sit in the flower field and tell them about your true feelings. Try not to stutter, and make sure to attempt to look them in the eyes. And of course, be yourself." He replied.

"I'm probably asking too many questions but, am I going to have to pay you for this? Because I have twenty dollars in my bag right now that I could use to pay you!" I said. "No need to pay me, I'd do this any day. Plus, I already have a job." He said. I smiled, "Thanks Shadow!". "No problem, Silver. Good luck" He remarked, he then walked away from me and Amy

"So Silver, when are you gonna confess to him?" Amy asked. I looked at Sonic, he was talking to Blaze. What if he likes someone else? What if he says no? No, I gotta get that out of my head. I looked back at Amy, "Right now". I walked toward Sonic and tapped him on the shoulder. He looked at me, "What is it Silver?". "Um- Can I tell you something?" I asked. "Sure thi-" He said before he heard his butler call his name. He then walked away to go talk to him. "God fucking damn it." I said to myself.

I was so close, the plan was just about to start, and it just had to be ruined. Fuck, I wonder what he could've possibly wanted. Sonic then walked over to me, "It's getting dark, we're gonna have to stay the night here.". Huh, so that's it. Luckily for me, I brought some pajamas just in case this happened.

Sonic then texted his friends, supposedly about this news. They all came to the shore. "We're gonna have to stay the night here, it's getting dark." Sonic's butler said. "Now, go call your parents and tell them what's gonna happen." Everyone else called their parents, except me.

Timeskip to early in the morning

"Psst, Silver!" Sonic whispered. "Hm?" I replied. "Do you wanna tell me the thing?" He asked. "Yes, but can we go somewhere more private?" I asked. He nodded his head. We tipped toed out of the hotel room and walked down the boardwalk.

As we walked, we could see the sun rising, it was truly a wonderful scene. We walked to the end of the boardwalk and walked into the flower field. We sat down in the field, surrounded by sunflowers. "So, what did you want to tell me, Silver?" He asked. I gave a big sigh and looked into his green eyes.

"I have a crush on you, I've had one for months. You were always so nice to me, and your personality just made me fall for you. Also, you being so touchy with me made me fall for you even more. Those cuddles made me feel so happy and flustered. I hope that you feel the same way about me, and if you don't then that's okay." I said.

Sonic gave me a big smile, "Oh Silver, I feel the same way about you! Also, I think I should tell you that those hugs and stuff weren't platonic. There were definitely romantic intentions and I'm surprised that you didn't notice it." "Well, I thought that you were just playing around with me-" I replied. "Well, now you know that I'm not joking!" He said. I nodded my head.

He then leaned closer to me, and I knew exactly what he was gonna do. I closed my eyes and he then kissed me on my lips. I could feel my face heat up. He was an amazing kisser.

After he pulled away, he gave me a smirk. "Heh, flustered already?" He teased. He then gave me a tight hug. I blushed even more than I probably was. I then looked at the sky, the sun was rising and everyone was probably awake. "Sonic, we should probably go back to the hotel."

Sonic looked at the sky then looked at me. He nodded his head and we raced back to the hotel. We might just get in trouble for sneaking out but at least we got to tell our feelings to each other. Once we got back to the hotel room, everyone was still asleep.

Both of us let out a quiet sigh of relief. We then went back to where we were originally sleeping and went back to bed. After a few hours, we ended up getting in the car and were on our way home. It was just like the last time that we were in the car but this time, Sonic was talking to me more. We ended up talking about bands, video games, and more.

Once we got back to Sonic's house, most of us went home. Sonic pulled me aside, "Hey Silver?" He asked. "Hm?" I let out. "I love you so much, and I want you to know that. If there's anything you want to tell me, then you can tell me. Please, take care of yourself, Silver." He said. He then kissed me on the cheek. "Will do." I replied. I cuddled him and he cuddled me back.

I then walked home, with a smile on my face as well as a blush. My heart was racing, and I felt so happy at the moment. Eventually, I got home and flopped down onto my bed. I let out a sigh, I was ready to go to bed. Until I heard my phone go off. It was a text from Sonic. "Just wanted to let you know that we could go to the arcade together if you want to" The text read. I smiled at my phone.

"Of course, I would love that."
