Chapter 14

Y/n enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace and snuggled closer to the blanket around her shoulders. The adrenaline was still pumping in her body after falling in the lake. Her husband looked  at her with worried eyes after asking her what happened.

She snuggled closer into his lap and took hold of his hair, something which by now had become something she did when she needed to reassure herself that she was safe. She knew that when her husband was there she was protected.

" darling what happened?" He asked her in a more gentle voice.

" I....I saw..." y/n struggled to get the words out. She didn't know what to say. If she told him what she had seen he'd probably think that she was crazy.

" it's okay sweetheart," he gently reassured her.
" take a deep breath and then tell me what happened"

My looked into his eyes once more and when she opened her mouth she couldn't stop.

" a snake tried to attack me so I got scared and then I feel in the water. The water was so cold and I thought that I was gonna die but then my surroundings changed and I was in a room and then this strange man came in. He had a dark cloak and there was a huge snake and it was terrifying.
What's even more terrifying is that I feel like I have met this man before but I don't know where or when and then when he got closer the surroundings changes again and I was back in the lake.
I couldn't move and then just as I though I would drown you rescued me"

Y/n took a deep breath in after telling the long story in one breath.
Lucius looked at her with a worried expression.
Only by her vague explanation he could easily tell who that man was. He only knew one wizard who was accompanied by a huge snake.
What worried him even more was that his wife said that she recognized him.
He didn't want his pretty little wife involved with Riddle in anyway and his blood boiled at the thought of him meeting her.
His master and his little wife were polar opposites.
Riddles merciless cruelty and y/n's adorable innocent was like night and day.

He had promised himself on their wedding day that he would keep his new wife as far away from riddle as possible and he intended to keep his promise.

When Lucius didn't say anything y/n look at him desperately. She didn't know if he was angry, or disappointed or just worried.

" are you angry?" she finally managed to say.

" why on earth would I be angry?" Lucius asked.

" because I was careless and feel into the lake" y/n said while looking down. She felt silly for falling in the lake like a child.

" you saw something and got scared, that's a total normal response" her husband reassured her while stroking her cheek.

" and just because I didn't see the snake doesn't mean that there wasn't one" he continues.

He knew for a fact that she couldn't possibly have seen a snake but if it made his princess feel better he allowed himself to tell a little white lie.

However, he wondered what exactly it was that she had seen. He knew that she must have really believed that she had seen a snake,since he would know if she deliberately lied to him .

" the only thing that matters is that you are safe now" he told her.

Y/n let her hand travel over her husbands hard chest and Lucius closed his eyes. He loved when she touched him like this.

He noticed that his wife was getting very sleepy so he decided that it was probably time for her to go to bed.

He gently lifted her up, her body wrapped in the blanket and walked over to the bed. He carefully pulled the covers away and let his wife's head rest on the fluffy pillows.
She was half asleep by now. He quickly unbuttoned his shirt and took off his trousers before joining her in bed.
Her skin still felt cold against his.
The thought of y/n being underwater  made a shiver run down his spine.
He pulled her closer to him, trying to keep her warm.
He gently played with her hair and hummed a soft tune.
