"Just sit there. You're not supposed to do anything." Nick helped Isabelle sit back in a chair at the lounge as a baby shower went on around her. He leaned on his hands on the arms of the chair, "boss me around. You're so good at it."

"Nick!"

He stood up, turning around to see his sister and brother in law and parents arrive. "Kate." He hugged his sister before shaking Paul's hand.

"Who would have thought you'd be having a baby before us."

Nick laughed as his sister, "haha." He hugged his parents, Pat and Tom before they greeted Isabelle. He stood next to her as Pat placed her hand on her stomach.

"How are you feeling dear?"

Isabelle sighed, "anxious to get her out of here."

Nick laughed, "soon enough sweetheart." He kissed her cheek hearing Charlie calling for him. "Sit there and keep looking beautiful."

She chuckled, watching him go up to the stage with the rest of the band. "Nicky, what are you doing?"

Nick shrugged as the band started to play and he sang.

🎵Baby, I'm yours (baby, I'm yours)
And I'll be yours (yours) until the stars fall from the sky
Yours (yours) until the rivers all run dry
In other words, until I die
Baby, I'm yours (baby, I'm yours)
And I'll be yours (yours) until the sun no longer shines
Yours (yours) until the poets run out of rhyme
In other words, until the end of time
I'm gonna stay right here by your side
And do my best to keep you satisfied
Nothin' in the world could drive me away
Every day, you'll hear me say
Baby, I'm yours (baby, I'm yours)
And I'll be yours (yours) until two and two is three
Yours (yours) until the mountain crumbles to the sea
In other words, until the eternity
Baby, I'm yours (ooh)
'Til the stars fall from the sky
(Baby, I'm yours)
'Til the rivers all run dry
(Baby, I'm yours)🎵

She giggled as the song ended and everyone clapped.

Nick held his hand up, "thank you. There was a few things I wanted to say." He pointed at Isabelle, "Isabelle Pierce, my beautiful, bossy, mother to be. I love you so much. You've become everything to me. You and that daughter of ours that will be here sooner than we think. I can't imagine being here in this position with anyone else but you." He pulled a box from his pocket, "and I want to make it permanent. Will you marry me Izzie?"

She watched him come off the stage, kneeling in front of her as he opened the ring box to her. "Nicky. I love you too. Of course I'll marry you." She smiled at the applause, making her laugh as he slid the ring on her finger, leaning up to kiss her. "In front of everyone, really?"

He laughed, shrugging, "why not." He looked up to see Stephen come up to them, hugging his sister.

"I'm so happy for you love. And I know Beth would be too."

She nodded, resting her hand on her stomach as Nick stood up beside her, "actually, we want to name her Elizabeth. Elizabeth Michelle Vaughn. After Beth and after our mom."

Stephen nodded, tears in his eyes, "I love it Izzie. Thank you."

"Ow!" Nick woke up in the middle of the night a few months later to Isabelle hitting him in the stomach.

"It's time, Nicky!"

"Okay!" He leapt to his feet, helping her get dressed and put on her shoes before helping her to the car. "Just stay calm!"

Isabelle laughed at Nick yelling at her as he got into the car, "you calm down Nicky."

He sighed, nodding, "sorry love. You're right." He took a few deep breaths before driving them to the hospital, getting checked in and into a room.

****4 months later****

Nick searched through the house, trying to find Isabelle. He sighed, leaning on the doorframe of the baby's room as he watched her hover over the crib, "sweetheart, let her sleep. She will soon be awake to be fed again."

She nodded, backing out of the room as Nick shut the door to just a crack. "I'm sorry Nicky."

He sighed, "don't be. I get it. But you haven't slept in four months. SIDS is incredibly rare sweetheart. The chances of it happening again is very low." He handed her the video monitor. "They also have better technology." He held up his phone, "we'll be alerted if her heart rate drops. I need you to sleep. I will watch over her for the night."

She nodded again, "okay. Thank you Nicky."

He walked her to the bedroom, pulling the blanket over her as he kissed her head. "I love you. Everything is fine."

She sighed, "okay. I love you too."
