Going back to the cabin was complicated, Yeonjun was very feeble and had not said anything to his siblings at all as he tried with all his willpower to control his wolf who wanted to take over him and shift into his wolf form.

Yeonjun didn't trust his wolf, not after hearing him say that the vampire king was his destined mate.

After arriving at his room with the help of his brother, Yeonjun heard his sister calling out to him.

"If you didn't want to say what happened to you in front of everyone, at least now you can tell us in private"

Yeonjun didn't want to say it, he wanted to keep it a secret but his sister was right, if he kept it to himself it could get worse, so he decided to be honest with them

"The vampire king is my mate"

On the other hand, Beomgyu found himself in his room, he was still hurt by the words received from the alpha, never in his life did he expect his beloved to be a shapeshifter, much less one as important as the leader of a clan.

He was so sunk in his sadness that he didn't notice when a presence appeared in his room calling him softly.

"Beomgyu, don't be sad, my dear"

The vampire looked up, seeing a woman dressed in white in front of him, she smiled sweetly at him.

"Don't lose hope with Yeonjun, that boy can be very stubborn but he is a good person, give him some time"

"Are you the moon goddess?" Beomgyu asked

"No, but this was the message sent by the moon goddess for you, I am your beloved's mother."

"But he doesn't love me, it's easy to see that he despises me"

"He doesn't, he's just confused. Beomgyu, dear, you are a very special being, and I am so grateful that you are my son's mate."

"But I'm a vampire, I shouldn't b—"

"It is fate that has chosen you two to be together, you have a strong bond that pulls you towards each other and it's so precious"

Yeonjun's mother stroked his hair softly, the sun setting in the distance, Beomgyu's eye lids began to close, feeling cozy. The woman whispered in his ear one last time before disappearing "trust yourself and also trust Yeonjun" and then Beomgyu fell asleep.

Gahyeon entered Yeonjun's room bringing him dinner since he didn't even want to move from his bed, he seemed sad and that was exasperating his sister

"You should look for the vampire king, brother, you won't be able to control your wolf for too long, I don't know why you deny him so much when he hasn't even done anything wrong to you"

"It has nothing to do with that, just leave me alone, Gahyeon"

"Then, don't say that I didn't warn you, don't wait until it's too late, remember that the clan needs a leader and right now you are not in a position to lead us, what you need is to find your mate and end the suffering that you have created for yourself"

Gahyeon gave him one last pitying look and left him there alone once again.

Yeonjun brought his hand to his chest, feeling the bond that connected him to the vampire king.

Whatever the vampire had inside of him called out to him but he tried not to pay too much attention to his wistful calls.

He shouldn't fall for carnal desires, no. He was a leader and he had to take care of his people.

The next day, the door to Beomgyu's room was opened by Sungoh, next to him was another man he recognized as Inseong.

They both bowed to his sovereign, Beomgyu had already informed him about new measures he had taken now that he knew of the existence of his beloved.

"I want you to follow the rules, don't hurt any shape-shifters and if I find out about a vampire causing trouble then I'll personally send them to jail for an eternity."

Beomgyu was going to trust the words of Yeonjun's mother, he was going to fight for him, so that his beloved would accept him after all.

He had an idea and that day he had to execute it so his captain Sungoh and Inseong got into a car with Beomgyu and headed towards the shifter clan's. Followed by his vehicle were other vampires to protect the sovereign from any sudden attack.

Upon arrival, the shapeshifters informed the leaders of the vampire king's arrival.

Yeonjun watched from the window, and saw as the vampire king gave some information to the other vampires and then got out of the vehicle. Everyone was stunned to see that he did not writhe in pain when he felt the sun rays directly on his skin and it was because Beomgyu was not a regular vampire, Beomgyu was the vampire king,a vampire who had some abilities that others did not have.

Beomgyu closed his eyes as he felt the warmth of the sun on his cool skin and smiled as he received many murmurs and gasps from the shifters around him.

"Doesn't it affect him? How is it possible that he can walk in the sun?"
