Yeonjun had spoken to him through the bond they had, Beomgyu looked up for him until he found him in the large window in the second floor.

"I need you to come down, I have something to give you" the vampire king told him with a serious tone, hiding his true emotions from him, Yeonjun didn't answer however he disappeared from the window and thirty seconds later he appeared through the front door.  He approached the king and his people firmly, waiting for whatever the king had to deliver.

Beomgyu waved his hands at the vampires to do as planned, and they quickly made their way to a van where they pulled out some teenage shapeshifters.

Yeonjun stared at the scene in disbelief and then looked back from it to the vampire king.

"It's no problem for me to hand over the shapeshifters we captured. Set them free" he ordered his people and they did as ordered.

Yeonjun was surprised with what he had just seen but then his face hardened when he saw that one of the young shifters approached the king and growled at him, looking at him with a disgusting face.  Yeonjun wasn't going to tolerate this kind of actions towards his mate.

The urge to hug him and rub him with his scent to mark territory on his mate was very strong, Yeonjun clenched his hands to try to control himself, but it was unavoidable.

Without thinking he changed form, releasing the wolf within himself that he had held since he met his destined mate.  His majestic fur and his big, strong frame made Beomgyu want him, upon seeing him he was mesmerized by how beautiful Yeonjun was in his wolf form.  Yeonjun advanced between the shifter and the vampire king, protecting him and then growled at the shifter showing who was the boss.  His clan members got alert.  Seeing the size of the wolf, the shifter began to shake, feeling fear and that is where Yeonjun realized something, the wolves that he had wanted so much to protect were partly to blame for all this issue with the vampires.  The way the young shapeshifters had reacted when the vampires hadn't done anything to them made them look bad, so anyone could think they were the troublemakers.

"Why are you doing this?"  Yeonjun asked through clenched teeth.

"This is the vampires' fault for locking us up, we didn't want to do this, we were forced, I swear, alpha" the boy didn't stop shaking, his legs didn't resist and he fell right to the ground.

Yeonjun looked at the others and saw them in the same conditions, he asked again "who forced you all to do this?"

"The leader"

"Which leader?"

"The one from Chilgok"

Yeonjun walked away from the young shifter, leaving him to his siblings and sub-leaders, he approached his mate, inhaling his delicious aroma

Seeing him in the eyes he could notice him a bit nervous and fear.  Beomgyu began to back away as Yeonjun got closer to him and from one moment to another he ran towards the forest, losing himself among the trees.

Yeonjun didn't hesitate and followed Beomgyu from behind but he didn't have the same speed as the vampire, he tried hard to run as fast as he could in his wolf form, he was tired but that wasn't going to make him stop, not when he saw his mate so terrified a few moments ago.

It was in that brief second when Yeonjun could see beyond Beomgyu, through his eyes he saw the being inside him, and he could realize that Beomgyu was not what he thought.  He wasn't the vampire he thought he was.

Apparently he could be a hybrid mix between vampire and shifter.

Beomgyu almost turned into that, and he was scared.

Yeonjun thought it was normal since it would never have crossed Beomgyu's mind that he had a wolf inside him, he always grew up surrounded by vampires, he was never in a pack, he was never taught that it was normal to shift into a wolf, the first time he shifted it was difficult to control it but thanks to the help of his family everything went well, however Beomgyu had not had anyone to explain or teach him how to control it.

Yeonjun managed to catch Beomgyu when he stopped, lunging at him to immobilize him, trying to stop him from running away.  They both fell rolling on the ground from the weight of the magnificent wolf.

Beomgyu did not move, he understood that it would be better to talk about it with his beloved rather than keeping it to himself

"Stop running away from me"

"I'm sorry"

"You don't have to apologize" he replied, being controlled by his wolf, Beomgyu took a hand towards his fur with shyness thinking that Yeonjun would pull away like before but to his surprise Yeonjun didn't.  Beomgyu was able to caress his soft and fluffy fur, he reached out and wrapped his arms around the wolf, burying his head in the wolf's chest, smelling a scent of fresh plants, soil and blood.  His blood smelled so good, Beomgyu felt hungry, he hadn't get fed since the time a human was brought to his room.  Yeonjun changed into his human form and pulled away sensing what the vampire was planning to do.  Beomgyu had wanted to bury his fangs in his neck and suck his rich blood but as long as Yeonjun was in his human form he wouldn't allow it.
