It was an awkward silence between the two of us. One of us occasionally sneezed then the other would say 'bless you'. It was an hour from the introduction that I finally spoke up.

"Are you hungry?" I asked Alice, turning my head to her.

Alice looked surprised that I talked to her.

"Oh, uh, sure. Yeah!"

I shook my head giggling from her reaction, getting out my lunchbox.

"Here, I have some unopened chips left, a half eaten lunch-able, applesauce, fruit and water."

Alice shook her head, "I'm not THAT hungry..I don't want to eat all your food."

I frowned, I knew that is not what I meant, I wasn't going to shove all the food down her throat, obviously. We need to keep as much food as we can, but she could have some. We had vending machines outside filled with food and drinks anyways.

"Not what I meant, but have the fruit at least?" I answered, holding the baggie filled with fruit.

Alice took it from me gently, "Okay I'll do that."

I smiled at her, "Okay cool."

Everything was going smoothly with the two of us, until two loud screams of terror came from the hallway out of nowhere.

My eye shifted over to where Emily was standing, thinking she was playing tricks on me again.

But then Alice looked out into the hallway, "Did..Did you hear that?" She asked.

I nodded my head, getting off the floor, "I thought I was hearing..things."

The two of us stuck our heads out to try and find the source of the screaming, finally seeing it.

Two people running in the hallway just making it around the corner, two bullies after them.

I quickly pulled my head back, looking around the bathroom for something to break to bullies with. I opened a stall, ripping a loose pipe out.

Alice backed up and watched me kick the door open.

One of the kids was carrying some sort of snake and the other was trying to cover their eyes. The snake tried to jump on the bully, but it ended up on the floor since the bully got out of the way. This gave me a chance to break one of them while it was busy looking at the snake. I sprinted behind the bully, it turned around and I broke it's head.

The two stopped to look at the noise source, the other bully tried to jump but I smashed it into pieces. I looked at the snake, carefully picking it up and bringing it to the boy.

"I believe this belongs to you" I gave it to him, the snake wrapped around his shoulder and arm.

The boy looked at the snake then back at me, "Thank you so much, I was really worried that Anouk would get hurt."

I smiled and nodded, "No problem buddy."

The other kid had started to look around in the trash, I cringed at the sight. Mostly because I could smell it.

"Who's that? What are they doing?"

"I think their name is Max? Also I have no idea.." The boy answered.

I turned my head back to him, "Now who are you?"

"I'm Jack, this is Anouk, as I mentioned." He answered.

I nodded then turned back to watching Max, digging for something. Suddenly they stopped and put something on their head. After that they went back over to Jack and me.

Max put a bucket over their head, was that blood on the side of it?

They had cut out a long part where their eyes were.

"What's uh..that for?" I asked.

"I like it." Max answered.

I nodded, "I understand."

I looked over at the bathroom door, Alice was still watching from it. I think she was frightened by what happened or the screams.

I turned back to the younger two, "I have a safe spot in the bathroom if you wanna come? I got some food."

They didn't hesitate to run into the bathroom, they almost knocked over Alice. I giggled at the two, then walked back into the bathroom, closing the door.

"I GOT THE FOOD!!" Jack yelled and Max started running after him.

I laughed and sat down, watching the two.

"Well this is a very interesting day." Alice piped up, sitting down too.

"I agree."
