Chapter 5

I watched the hallways, waiting for anything to come down them. I looked back, everyone was still sleeping.

I sat up as I went outside to raid the vending machine. I got as much as I could and put it in the bathroom.

I was going to go out again to try and get the rest until I saw Alice sit up from sleeping.

We stared at each other for a while.

"What are you doing?" Alice piped up, getting off the ground.

"Just getting food from the vending machines." I answered, putting the last of the food in an organized spot.

"Do you need help?" She asked.

I turned silent, I could try to apologize while we got the rest.

"Yea, there's some left I need to get.." I answered, getting up.

Alice nodded as she followed me out of the bathroom to the quad, where all the vending machines were.

I started to take a bunch of the bags, I handed some to Alice.

I stared at the window of the cafeteria, I could see the guests feast on meat and wine. I turned back to the snack bags, getting all of them I could, so did Alice.

"Alice..." I spoke up, my throat felt dry and I felt like crying.

Alice turned her head around, "Yeah?" She asked.

"I..I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean to say that. I know it was really bad to say and you guys are my friends!" I started to cry, why couldn't I just keep them in.

"I didn't mean to be so rude and selfish, I hurt all of you! I just am so stressed by all of this and other things..." I started to ramble as my voice cracked.

I felt something warm grab me and engulf me in a hug, it was Alice.

"It's alright, it was pretty visible that you were going through something." She answered.

I smiled as I hugged her back, trying to wipe away my tears.

"Is there anything else that's bothering you?" Alice asked.

I froze, should I tell her? Would she believe me?

I don't want to.

Maybe just a little.

Fine, I will.

But, Later.

"I'll...I will tell you later, alright?" I answered.

Alice nodded, "That's okay!"

We carried the food back to the bathroom as I organized the food. By the time we got back Max and Jack were awake.

Everything was going good until I could tell Jack was staring at me weird, "Have you been bleeding this entire time?" He asked.

I looked down at my right arm, remembering the time the bully jumped on me.

"Oh. I forgot about that."

Alice looked at it, "Well, we need to go to the nurse's office! They would have a first aid kit!"

I sighed, knowing we would be going either way, "Okay."

Jack helped Max up as Jack then woke up Anouk and let the snake wrap around him. We then all exited the bathroom, I could have gone alone. But I knew they wouldn't have let me.

We walked throughout the quad making sure no monsters were lurking around, especially bullies or The Janitor.

We finally got to the nurse's office, I slowly opened the door peering inside. It was way bigger than I remembered.

I swallowed as I went inside, the others following behind me. We went to work as we started to look for the first aid kits. We went deeper into the office, it was definitely bigger than it used to be. The nurse's office used to be only one room, now it is around 10 rooms.

We got to the 5th room when a kid ran right into us and knocked me and Jack over.

"What the HELL!?" I yelled, holding my head.

Alice helped me up as Max helped Jack up. Jack made sure Anouk didn't get hurt on the way down.

The kid started to run, and in an instant I grabbed The kid's coat.

"Where do you think you're going?" I asked.

The kid tried to hit me with his free hand, I caught it.

"Like I said, where do you think you're going?" I was angry, I wasn't mad that I got knocked over, I was mad he knocked over Jack, one of my friends.

Yeah, Friend.

The kid groaned, "I was just trying to get outta here!" He yelled.

I rolled my eyes as I let him go, I expected him to run, he seemed like he was in a hurry before. He didn't move at all, he had a tired annoyed look plastered on his face.

"Do you know where the first aid kits are?" I asked.

"Yea? Why?" He asked.

"To help, now where is it?"

He pointed to the two rooms over, it rolled my eyes again. I went into the room getting as many as I could, Alice came in to get the rest. It was just in case we needed more.

The two of us exited the room to see the kid still standing there.

"Why are y-" I got interrupted by a loud incoming noise, it sounded like it was on the ceiling.

The kid grabbed the four of us and dived into a hiding place.

Under the shadows I couldn't see very well, I slowly leaned forward so I could see.

There was a terrifying man crawling on the ceiling, he sounded like he needed to clear his throat.

"What. Is. That."

"That's the Doctor, I told you I was trying to get outta here....now you know why."
