Chapter 11

I woke up the next day and my head was pounding, groaning I sat up and rubbed my head.

For a second I panicked because no one was around, "GUYS?!" I yelled out.

Debonair opened the bathroom door and looked inside.

"Oh, you're awake, we're outside in the hallway.." He answered.

I nodded and followed him into the hallway. There I saw the little kids running around and playing games in the hallway and Alice watching them with a smile. There was a pile of snacks in the corner, probably taken out by the group.

I smiled, it was nice to see them so happy. As they should be because they are all kids and they deserve to be happy and not in this traumatizing situation.

I also could guess their ages, well kinda. The little kids are definitely younger, Alice is a little younger and Me and Debonair might be around the same age. But I could always be wrong.

I sat down next to Alice and watched the kids, Debonair sitting next to us.

"Sooo, anything planned for today?" I asked the two.

The two next to me just shrugged, not knowing what to do either. The three of us look back at the kids who are happily playing in the hallway. Alice picked up some chips and gave one bag to Debonair, me, and herself.

"Thank you." I smiled at her as I opened mine up and ate the chips. They tasted good but I missed eating actual meals. Though I only ate actual meals half the time.

I looked around, checking the hallways as I ate. I was making sure nothing came after any of us or if Emily was here. I did notice she wasn't, maybe she left for a little bit.

The question is, where would she go?

I stood up after I finished my chips, I stretched my arms and a loud pop came out of them. I looked down at my two friends.

"Are you guys done with yours?" I ask.

"Yeah." Alice answered and I took her trash, Debonair quietly gave me his.

Walking over to the other end of the hallway I threw all the trash away, I looked out of the door of the hallway. I watched as The Janitor walked by, patting the floor as he walked. I wanted to know how this happened. I know in the game it was TVs, the adults might've had those older TVs somewhere in the school. It couldn't have been any phones, they just didn't work well? I continued to stare at the door as I tried to figure out how this happened.

I sigh as I look back then out the door, I wanted to actually know where the safe places are. But considering yesterday I didn't think any of them would let me go.

I decided I should just tell them I am going.

I look through the door one more time before turning around and going back down the hallway. I sat down in the middle where I once was.

"Hey Alice, Debonair?" I started looking at both of them.

They both look at me, "Yea?" Alice asked.

"I'm going to go out and walk around to check places in the school." I answered.

The two look at each other then at me.

"I'll go with you." Debonair answered and stood up.

"Wait what! Hey!" I glared at him.

"Mmm, How about you bring one of the kids?" Alice asked.

I looked at her with my mouth open, really?!

"I can look after Tailor and Max, I think Jack would like to go." Alice explained.

I look from Debonair to Alice, trying to convince them by my face. But they finally agree on this plan. But I couldn't be responsible for this! What if Jack gets hurt? Or Debonair? I don't want either of them to!

It's not like I have a choice though, so I get up too.

"Alright, okay. Cool." I answer then look up at the kids playing.

"Jack!" I yell.

Jack turns around and runs over, "Yeah?"

"Debonair and I are going to look around the school.." I look at Alice for a second before looking back, "Do you want to come along?"

He went deep into thought as he tapped on his chin.

He looked at Anouk, "What do you think?" He whispered.

Anouk made a light hissing noise and Jack nodded to the sound.

"Alright then it's decided, we're going to go with you!" He answered loudly with a smile.

I nodded, "Cool, now let's go." I answer.

Before I leave I look at Alice, "You should probably bring the kids inside. The Janitor is outside, I assume he's going to come in soon."

Alice nods and starts to clean up bringing the food inside then the kids.

She came out again and waved goodbye, "Have a good walk!"

I smile and wave back, "Okay, we'll be back soon."

Then she left and the three of us exited the hallway quietly.
