YOU ALL CLAP AS HARRY RAISES THE EGG IN THE AIR.
you had snuck your way into the gryffindor common room, you were sur mcgonagall had seen you bet just let it slide.
even the painting inside were cheering.
fred and george carry harry on their shoulders, "yes, harry!"
"knew you wouldn't die, harry. lose a leg"
"or an arm"
"pack it in altogether?"
"never!"
everyone passes around the egg, "shush!" seamus shouts, giving the egg a kiss.
"go on, harry. what's the clue?"
"who wants me to open it?" he holds up the egg.
"yes!"
"do you want me to open it?"
"yes!!" everyone shouts.
you watch excitedly as harry brings his hand up to the top of the egg, twisting the small golden latch.
everyone ducks down, covering their ears as the egg louts out a loud, ear-piercing, shrill shriek.
harry closes it back up.
"the bloody hell was that?"
everyone glances up at ron who had just walked in.
"all right, everyone. go back to your knitting. uh, this is gonna be uncomfortable enough without all you nosy sods listening in"
ron walks up to harry, "i reckon you have to be barking mad to put your own name in the goblet of fire"
harry nods, "caught on, have you? took you long enough"
"i wasn't the only one who thought you'd done it. everyone was saying it behind your back"
"brilliant. that makes me feel loads better"
you and hermione silently listen in.
"least i warned you 'bout the dragons"
"hagrid warned me about the dragons" harry says in confusion.
"no, no, no, i did. no, don't you remember? i told hermione and [name] to tell you that seamus told me that parvati told dean that hagrid was looking for you. seamus never actually told me anything, so it was really me all along. i thought we'd be all right, you know.. after you'd figured that out"
you smile slightly.
"who..? who could possibly figure that out? that's completely mental"
they both laugh a bit.
"yeah. isn't it? i suppose i was a bit distraught"
you smile, hermione shakes her head, tearing up a bit, "boys.."
