As I started to work in my office, in SIAC,  the first thing I saw was registered list of students. At least twice the students were enrolled than previous year. It meant that we would have good choice to select eligible candidates. In previous era too, the 'guru' (achaarya) used to select his 'shishya'(disciples).
We would be able to teach the deserving and aspiring students. I was busy in mind-planning about the events when a sudden knock of peon disturbed me.
He had come to take my signatures on college migration certificate. But, when I was going to sign it, he told me the name- Shagun.
Usually, I don't do partiality. Infact, of it were previous Shagun, she didn't need to send peon. She could have come in my cabin without even a knock. But by luck, the situation had changed. I asked the peon if she was waiting outside and he responded positively.
Tgere were certain things that should be noted on that situation. Firstly, my mood was really bad. Like, really. Because of my argument with dad in morning.
Secondly, Shagun was cooking something in her mind for sure. Because, she could have send her driver or anyone rather than coming herself. So, I told the peon to inform her that I was a little busy and she would have to wsit for that signed certificate. I didn't want her to have any double thoughts on my eagerness to let her go.

After a while, she entered in my cabin, of course by my permission. I signed her certificate and she started talking casually like it was not a big deal. I showed up that I didn't have any problem with that too.
Then, she invited me to come London for her just for meeting sake and thinking again about that topic to resolve the matter. But, what she did not know was that I was really fed up with this. She was raising her hopes too high. I was not in mood to have another argument in the same morning. Also, I was getting bored with her talks. So, I just saw time in my wrist watch out of habit as to draw my ficus on somewhere else. By seeing time, I directly told her -
" dekho meri faculty ke saath ek bahut important meeting hai, tum to jaanti hi ho ki Sabherwal Entrance Exam hai aur vaisey bhi schedule thoda hectic chal raha hai. Agar aur kuchh chahiye ho to batana..matlab college se. "

She was raising her hopes a little too high, I didn't want her to get on cloud nine without even having a chance of them to become possible. So, I directed her outwards the door way, by opening the door. She stood tgere a bit, maybe was trying to analyze my face which was nothing but neutral. I was still holding the door knob. When she could not come to any conclusion of what was bubbling in my mind, she went away from my cabin.

After the meeting, which was not quite long because I had already given all the instructions to them before, I was wandering in my cabin once again. I was sipping my coffee when I got a call from Badi maa.
" Shaurya beta, poora literature department Shagun ko farewell de raha hai, tum jaa rahe ho na? "
I responded negative.

God knows how, even not being a member of institution, not even coming in college, she cones to get all the knowledge of SIAC. Sometimes, she get news faster than even me.

" You must go Shaurya. Hum Sabherwals ka dil bahut bada hota hai.
Sabko pata chalna chahiye ki tumhe iska koi farak nahi pada. Khaaskar college ke log aur staff ko.
Hum Sabherwals jo kuchh bhi karte hain, sar ooncha karke karte hain. You remember that.
Right?
" Ji. "
" Main jaanti hoon tumhaare liye bahut mushkil hoga. Tumhaara dard bhi samajh sakti hoon Shaurya.
Par London jaane ka faisla Shagun ka hai beta. Humein muh chhupaane ki koi jaroorat nahi hai. Tum jaao taaki logo ko bhi pata chale ki Shagun ne kitni badi galti ki hai. Theek hai?
Aur suno, maine flowers order kar diye hain. You take them. "
" Ji. "

After getting indirect orders from her, how could I even deny that?
Moreover, her offer seemed pretty intimidating. So, I decided to give her a farewell.
When, I entered the hall where her farewell speech was going on I stood at the hall for a few minutes with the bouquet I just received.

" Thank you SIAC,  main aap sabki itni shukraguzaar hoon ki... ."
Then, she saw me standing in doorway, and stopped in between her speech.
I was having a gentleman smile on my face.
Then, I signalled her to continue.
" Main yaha aayi thi as a student , aur yahi lecturer bhi ban gayi.
Aur aaj mujhe mauka mila hai London jaakar apni PhD poori karne ka vo bhi sirf Sabherwal institute ki vajah se.
Main aap sabhi ko bahut miss karungi. "

Simple and subtle speech just like Shagun. No extra baggage, no emotional drama. That's what I like in her.
Anyways, we gave a big hand to her. Then, I proceeded to the lecture stand, where she was standing and honored her with flowers.
