"If you're asking for my opinion based on the facts, I do think this was one of our competitors from the legal world playing dirty," Eros chimed with.

Which earned him a few grunts and murmurs in agreement around the table.

My trusted circle of mafia workers were having a meeting to go over the measures we've taken to protect ourselves and be on the offensive side.

Our security has tripled and we're taking every precaution since our warehouses were raided but everything has gone back to normal. Which means they've backed off or have taken time to regroup before hitting us with something big.

And it's probably the latter.

Leaning back in his chair, "I know it's easy to think it's a mafia, but the only mafia's who could do this without being snitched on would be the Italians and the Spanish. Even with the Spanish, if they gathered local cartels and gangs, I'm still not convinced they could do this without someone sending us a heads up."

"And the Italians?"

"Those dirty bastards are ruthless, unforgiving, and take what they want. yes. But I've seen Lorenzo and his father work before they throw a plan out to their men, they look at all the outcomes. That's what makes their mafia so strong they don't have unrealistic expectations; they only do things when the win is close to a guarantee, and they lose close to no men. "

I just don't think it was them because if we were to go to war, I don't know who would win and they don't do situations where the result is an 'I don't know situation'."

Glancing down at his report, Eros looked back up at me and finished with, "I think that stupid fruit company was jealous we're taking its customers and they hired dodgy people to knock us down a few pegs.

Shifting my body slightly I look at Alina who's absentmindedly twirling a dagger with her fingers.

"Alina?"

Putting the knife down, Alina looked at me and with a questioning look said, "everything he said about the mafias is right."

Earning her verbal stamp of approval, Eros nodded and grabbed the third folder in front of him and with a beaming smile he started passing out the packets from the folder.

"Good now I made a plan on how we can juice the fruit."

"Never said I agree with your equation equaling apple being the big bad that broke down our warehouses," Alina huffed.

With his 6'7 tattooed frame that includes a nasty scar that starts at the corner of his right eye and ends at the tip of his mouth, Eros Preobrazhensky is one of the scariest people in the world. But you wouldn't be able to tell because right now he just looks like a wounded school child.
