Brooke's POV

I sit at a desk, ignoring the chatter of the other students. I sketch in a journal, a drawing of a maple tree that sits beyond the classroom window. My desk is farthest from it, but I can just about see it. One of the boys, Logan Pitcher, shouts something from the far side of the room, and I catch my name thrown in there as he and his friends laugh. I frown and look up. What? I write on an index card and fold it into a paper airplane to throw at them. I toss it in the air and Logan catches it. He unfolds it, reads it, and then tosses a crumpled version onto the ground. "I said," He repeats loudly, "What's the difference between Brooke Falter and a train?"

I stare with a frown, feeling most eyes on me. I tilt my head to the side as if to repeat, What?

He laughs, and almost falls off the desktop he sits upon. "You can hear a train when it's around."

I roll my eyes. that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I sigh and decide to reply. I grab another index card and write, I'm mute, dumbass, not silent. That doesn't mean I can't make noise, it means I can't talk.

This time, I walk up to them and show the card. Logan leans backwards laughing after reading this. I frown and kick his shin. He yelps, and the teacher glances up from his book, addressing us in a bored voice.

"Brooke, don't kick people, please. And Logan, leave Brooke alone. "

I smirk and glance at Logan, who sticks his tongue out at me as I walk away.  I glance at the clock and gather my belongings, stuffing them into my back pack. The bell rings, and I rush out of the room.

The halls are crowded with students trying to squeeze their way out of the school.

As I file outside with everyone else. I walk down the side walk off to the right, and begin my journey home. I pass a red and blue semi truck without a trailer that's pulled to the side of the road, and a black and yellow sports car with black stripes. I speed up to see the brand, almost excitedly, only to be let down. Only a Kenworth and a Corvette. no autobot adventures for me today..

I audibly sigh, slightly ashamed that my fantasies have gotten to me again. Just my luck, none of my dreams are ever reality..

I absently kick the pavement, slightly hurting my shoes. I kick something metal, returning my mind to the sidewalk, noticing as I catch up with it, that it's a key. I bend down to examine it. A metal silver key. it looks old..

I pick it up and a blinding flash over takes me. I thought I dropped the key, but when I open my eyes, it's clenched in my hand. As if I was hanging on for dear life.

I look around, noticing the change in scenery. I'm in some sort of studio. I set down my bag. Woah.. This place is amazing.

I step forward, towards a projector, that's throwing a cartoon onto the wall with bright light. I watch as a black and white character hops around. I smile as they laugh at a cartoon wolf. Interesting.. But how'd I get here?

I turn around to meet a cut out of the character. My soul almost leaves my body. Color that drained, returns to my face as I stand there with a shocked expression. I shake my head, and with a frown and smirk on my face, I shake my pointer finger at the cut out.

I walk around to explore, turning to a hallway on the right. There's a desk with a bunch of sketches on it. I set the key down. There's things written on the papers that's either cursive, or too old to read. I can make out one word. B-endy? I mouth without thinking. I palm my forehead. I'm missing my journal.

I return to the first room, and reach for my bag, when it flickers. Like a trick of the light. Then, with a bunch of black liquid engulfing it, it disappears.

I blink a few times, not believing this. What just happened?

I silently huff and look around, deciding to explore the other side of the room. On one of the walls in the hallway, there are the words-

'DREAMS COME TRUE'

I raise a brow at it, and notice a can of paint, labeled 'Ink'.

I shrug and pick up the can, heading back to the first room. I set it down near  the projector. I pry the can open and dip my hand in it, knowing I don't have tools, and paint on the wall. BENDY, I write, remembering the strange name. I'm not sure why, but it's the first thing to come to mind. I curve the Y's tail, and hear some dripping noise behind me.
