5| His Return

Bendy's POV

I stalk through the halls, trailing ink behind me. I left Brooke to investigate a noise I heard topside. I sigh, as I levitate a silver metal key in the ink in front of me. "I'm sorry, Brooke." I mumble. How did she get this?

I shake my head and poof it away safely. "Another mystery for another time." I whisper. I appear on top of the ink machine, and stand there for a second, listening. It hadn't turned on, which meant that Henry hadn't returned. I sigh softly. A small part of me had hoped he would..

Just as I call back out to the ink to teleport, I hear something above the chains, at the balcony. I whip around.

"I know it's still here.." Scoffs a rough, old voice. I frown, trying to recognize it, but it's too far away.
Silence falls over the dark ravine, before the sounds of chains rattling and a machine running is heard.

I look up, and grab onto the chains as the machine is lifted out of the abyss. "Come on, Ink Demon. I know you still reside here." He says
My ink freezes in my veins. Then it steams to boil and the ink runs down my face even faster than before. I bare my teeth and growl low as the machine ascends to his balcony. I know he can see me, because I hear him step back a bit. "You.." He says as if he's the one who has a grudge.
My twisted smile curls up a bit. "Joey.." I spit in a raspy voice. I let go of the chains and let them swing dangerous back and forth as I step forward. I jump off of the machine and land just in front of him, facing the ground.
"Hello, Liar." I say, looking at him.
He seems to want to back up but instead, he straightens and looks at me in the eyes. Oh? Where's this confidence coming from?

Joey takes a deep breath. " What is this? What has become of you?"
He pokes my chest hard with his finger.
I just frown deeply. This is a joke right? He's not here for actual business or anything of the right sort.
I sigh and roll my eyes. " This is a waste of time." I say annoyed. I turn back to face the ink machine, about to step back atop it.

Joey clears his throat. " How dare you ignore me!"

I growl and whip around so fast, my movements are delayed to my mind for a second. I had picked up Joey by the collar and now have him pinned to the wall, my ink soaking his suit and skin.
I bare my sharp teeth. "I do not answer to you, old man. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just end you right here." I am breathing hard in anger and growling out every word. I lift up my inky clawed hand and glance from it to him with a twisted grin.

He gulps and his heart rate increases beneath my hand. "I-.." He begins timidly.
The agony and craziness are slowly getting to me and I'm losing my patience.
I twirl my claws. " Better hurry. Times ticking." I grin.
He coughs at my grip, and I stifle a laugh. ' Maybe if he wasn't such an evil bastard, I'd feel sorry for him. But..'
Suddenly there's the click of a door shutting.

"Okay, Joey I'm here. Hello? Is- Is what you wanted me to see still here?" Comes a voice from the front door.
Joeys eyes dart from me to the open hall. "H-Henry.." He whimpers. I frown and actually try to choke him. "In... Here.." He whispers the last part.

"Henry.." I say softly, not thinking much of it.

I retract my claws before plunging them into Joeys chest and dragging them down to his stomach. His eyes go dark as the life drains from him and he goes limp. I drop him from the wall, and he hits the floor with a wet bloody sploosh . My eyes widen at the noise. "Oh no, Henry!" I whisper.
I move boards to the entrance of the room.

I fill the room with ink and move the body into the machine.
"Maybe now you'll be where you belong." I say as I close the hatch. "In Hell." I turn on the machine and hear the ink curdling sound of bones being crushed and the body maimed into something inky.
I shiver and teleport back to Brooke.
