[Hey guy's, hope you like this chapter, it took me a while but i finally got my thoughts down]
I had been here for a day, and this place was confusing as, well hell, I had yet to see or talk to the dark mysterious man who had that weird effect on the shadows, I still got a headache every time I tried to figure that one out.
I had stayed in my room for fear of getting lost, and by now I had learned the shadow things feed off of others fear and nightmares, which I had plenty of, but it was weird they seemed to be protecting me, or surrounding me, I don’t know, it’s been a weird twenty-four hours.
I was getting agitated and nervous, I still hadn’t learned why he had brought me here, I stuck my head out of my room for the thousandth time today, seeing if anyone was in the halls, but they were dark, quiet and empty, I sighed, I stood up and started to pace my room, I always thought better when I paced, thinking about my options I realized there were only two.
1, I could stay in the room and starve, or 2, I could go find the dark man and demand answers, looks like it was going to be option number 1, I really didn’t want to face him again, he made me feel to many things at once but mostly fear, and I hated that feeling, It reminded me that I couldn’t trust no one.
Then I thought about what my grandfather had told me when I was little and could still fit on his knee, he once told me it was better to face my fears and confront them than to let sleeping dogs lie, I sighed I knew I needed answers, and that was more important than my fears.
The shadows in my room stirred to life as if knowing what I was thinking about doing, putting my shoes on and walking over to the door I took a deep breath and opened the door, only to scream in fright at the sight before me.
The thing standing in my door way was charcoal black with red eyes and teeth that were pointy, and the smell was awful, it thing smelled like rotting flesh and corpses, I took several steps back but that didn’t help with the smell, the thing took a threatening step forward but the shadows surrounded the thing and it hissed in pain “Master wants to see you” it wheezed out before it turned into smoke and vanished.
I stood back for a few minutes seeing if anything else was going to pop out at me, the shadows rippled on the walls, and I hoped that meant it was ok, I took an attentive step forward, when nothing jumped in front of me I sighed with relief.
………
As I walked down the hallway, the shadows followed, I had no idea if I was even walking down the right hallway, I passed a room that I could have sworn I hears someone screaming, being the curious person I am, I wanted to investigate but I was scared to, the shadows seemed to press me further down the hallway, away from the room.
I guessed that whatever I would have seen behind that door wasn’t pretty, so I just left it alone and kept walking, the hallway lights dimmed and I jumped back, when I realized that it was nothing I gave a little nervous laugh, I guess this place had me more on edge than usual, the shadows seemed to take the lead after a while, gliding down the hallway, we finally stopped at a large dark stained wooden door, on the door were two knockers the size of my fist, on one knocker there was what I would describe as the face of a lion, bear bird with a forked tongue, and on the other one was kind of similar to the first but the thing had wings.
“Those are the griffins that protect the gates of hell” said a deep voice from behind me making me jump, startled I let out a little squeal and spun around to see who was behind me, I shrank back when I saw a him, it was an older gentleman in a solid black cloak, he had silver hair and pitch black eyes, as I looked into his eyes I felt trapped, black walls surrounded me and I started to panic, I couldn’t breathe.
