A New Purpose - Cypher x Fem Reader (Valorant Fanfiction)

Relaxing

After awhile of Cypher teaching me about his gadgets I learned quite a bit, he explained things nicely and it wasn't to hard to understand. I like this a lot, this is my definition of relaxing.

Cypher placed one of his broken tripwires Infront of me and some tools "try fixing one, I'll watch and if you do something incorrectly, I'll help"

I nod and pick up one of the tools that I'm pretty sure I need first and start to work on the tripwire

"Put a little bit more pressure, don't worry your not gonna break it even more"

"Like this?" I try to put a little more pressure and then look at him for approval

Cypher nods his head no "Almost, here" he stands up and goes behind me then puts his hands on mine putting a bit more pressure "like that, now try again"

I blush a little and nod putting the same amount of pressure he did and continue to work on the tripwire

("Ah I can hear him breathe from how close he is...but it's quite soothing...") After a while of switching from tool to tool and working on the tripwire without Cypher stopping me I finally finish

"d-did I do it?" I look back and he then pats my head

"Yes, good job, would you like to test it out?"

I nod my head and teleport to the wall to place it and to my surprise, it works! I look at Cypher in excitement and he nods at me and gives me a thumbs up but not to long after that excitement turned into embarrassment when my stomach grumbled really loud from being hungry.

Cypher looks at me and chuckles "Let us get something to eat"

We get to the Kitchen and find three people there but before anyone can say anything Cypher introduces them, kind of...

"The female is Sage, she's a healer, the long blonde hair one is sova and the shadow like figure is Omen"

I nod and wave hello and they say their greetings as well

"Me and Sova have to get going but if you ever need anything don't be afraid to stop by my clinic" Sage smiles and waves goodbye and following her is the man named Sova that also waves goodbye

They both leave the Kitchen which only leaves Omen there besides me and Cypher of course

"How was your first night at Valorant?" Omen asks

"Ah, it was alright I guess, woke up from a nightmare though, It'll take me some time to get used to being somewhere....safe" I give Omen a soft smile and then observe Cypher cooking something, after a few minutes of watching I sit down next to Omen that's seated at the middle counter in the Kitchen

I try to break the awkward silence
"I'm sorry for trying to kill you back at the facility, I didn't really have a choice and I-" I was cut off by Omen

"It's okay, no need to explain, all that matters is that we have you here now without any complications"

"Ah...thank you Omen" I can't help but feel like Omen is going to be someone I can trust and smile at him

"Ah, I just remembered that I need to go do something, hopefully we get the chance to talk again soon" Omen gets up from his chair and walks out of the kitchen

("Ah...I really need to get better at having a conversation with someone..I can't always bug Cypher, he'll get annoyed by me at some point") as I was lost in my thoughts I smell something good, I look up at Cypher and see he's just finishing up cooking and serving it on the plates.

"This will me my first meal here at Valorant"

"Indeed it will be [Y/n] and I hope you enjoy it" Cypher places a plate Infront of me, it smells lovely and when I take my first bite I feel like I'm in heaven.

"It's so good! Thank you Cypher!" I smile at him and then continue eating

"I'm glad you like it, I'm going to my workshop to eat so feel free to come by once you finish" Cypher takes his plate and heads to his workshop leaving me in the kitchen by myself

I finish eating and wash my plate to then just sit down again to enjoy the quiet. There's no screaming in the background and It feels absolutely amazing to just be able to roam free and do whatever I want, I smile and finally get up to start walking back to Cyphers workshop until I panic when I hear gunfire. I run to where it's coming from and immediately calm down when I see what it's from, as I look into a window of a shooting range I see 2 people practicing their aim and maybe a little more than that when I see their lips touch.

("They...really seem to be into that kiss..oh.....OH") I turn around to immediately get out of there, that was turning into more than just a kiss.

I get back to Cyphers workshop and he tells me to come in, I close and lock the door as I come in and then sit down.

He seemed to be all finished eating and was just working on more gadgets

"I uh..saw something on my way here at the shooting range.."

Cypher chuckles and immediately knows what I'm talking about
"Don't pay to much mind to them, those too don't know how to control themselves, the one with the blue streak in his hair is Yoru and the one with the orange tip dreads is Phoenix." Cypher let out a sigh "I told them to keep it to the bedroom but they don't listen, I've been scarred a few times because of them when I checked my cameras"

I let out a chuckle and pat Cyphers back which causes him to also let out a bit of laughter

After a while I start to wonder something "Cypher...do you have a lover?" This question causing Cypher to stop what he's working on and looks at me

"Used to, My wife Nora...but she passed away along with my child, Kingdom was the cause of them dying"

"Ah..I'm so sorry..I shouldn't have asked.."

"It is okay, you were just curious, I've come to terms with it and have grived"

A silence filled the room but I still wanted to ask more questions

"Don't kingdom and Valorant work together? If kingdom was a part of the reason of your family being takin away then why do you work here in valorant?"

He took awhile to respond "At first I wanted to just get more information to get revenge but my point of view on things have changed and I even in some way gained a family from it, but there still are times were I just want to blow up kingdom's headquarters" Cypher turns back to continue working on gadgets

"You can sure ask a lot of questions when you feel like it" Cypher chuckles

"Ah..yeah, sorry" my face goes a light pink

After that I just watched Cypher tinker with his gadgets once again and with time I started to get tired, without thinking I just laid my head on Cyphers shoulder and once I felt him flinch I quickly tried to get off him but he just placed his hand on my head and brought my head back

"I'll put you too bed, do not worry about falling asleep here"

I blush a little and nod my head, after only a few seconds I feel asleep.

This is how you spent your time here at Valorant and day by day you met all the agents and found out how all their abilities worked and their personalities.
