Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji started to walk towards the dark forest. The forest was covered with smoke, so they walked hand in hand, trying to sense their surroundings.
"Lan Zhan, do you remember when we also encountered a smoky area when we were searching for the other parts of Sect Leader Nie?" Wei Wuxian spoke under the smoke. Lan Wangji held his hand tighter.
"I'll never let you go again Wei Ying."
Wei Wuxian smiled then back hugs Lan Wangji. ''Alright, I'll stay with you forever, Lan Zhan."
They walked that way, with Wei Wuxian clinging unto Lan Wangji's waist. After minutes of walking, trying to see through the smoke, it quickly dissipated, revealing to them a vast canopy of trees, like they were being swallowed by them.
"Wei Ying, hold on to me." Lan Wangji said, protecting Wei Wuxian at his back. The area was filled with an ear-splitting, undistinguishable sound, more like a female shrieking voice, resounding in his ears, and they quickly covered their ears.
"We need to be careful here. I'm not sure what kind of ghost was that, but I'm sure it's not that dangerous. They may be loud, but that's just one of their schemes. I think they are just around the corner." Wei Wuxian said, trying to adjust from the noise. Since cultivators have a strong sense of hearing, they can also readily adjust to some strange sounds if only they will keep the homeostasis inside and outside of their bodies.
When the two of them have adjusted to the piercing sound, they delved deeper into the forest. They saw a big hole, a hole that can fit two people inside and they went closer to see if they can find anything variable.
"What do you think is this?" Wei Wuxian asked, peeking at the hole.
"Don't come close." Lan Zhan grabbed his shoulder.
"Lan Zhan! Look at this! Come!"
He pulled Lan Wangji's robes, asking him to bend over and take a peek. Lan Wangji followed and looked at what's inside.
"They are so cute!" Wei Wuxian exclaimed, holding two fluffy white bunnies. Their tummies are so big that they looked like pregnant rabbits. The distinct difference of this kind of bunny was that Its ears have piercings, a sparkling diamond attached to them. Its eyes are golden, with long eyelashes fluttering as if asking someone to take them home.
"Don't touch them. I think they're dangerous." Lan Wangji was cautious, so he didn't take it.
"Why? We can bring them to Gusu and let them breed with the other bunnies there. I promise you I won't eat them."
The other bunnies also went out from the hole, surrounding them.
"They're harmless. You can try to pet them too. Here." Wei Wuxian handed him one of the bunnies. When he pet it, it rolled on his hand, letting him pet its tummy. Lan Wangji pets his tummy, and it stopped moving. After shaking it to see if it is still alive, it releases a shrieking sound, which was the sound from earlier!
Lan Wangji immediately throws the bunny away, pulling Wei Wuxian out of the hole. All of the bunnies that encircled him disappeared like a cloud of smoke, so they raise their guard.
"Wei Ying, watch out!"
Lan Wangji exclaimed as the ground beneath them begin to shake. They jumped far away from that hole, and they avoided all the falling branches over their heads.
After the loud sound, they fan away the smoke caused by the shaking of the ground and saw a red, big bunny as big as a normal dog, at the entrance of the hole. It looked exactly like the little bunnies earlier, only the color was not the same. It stood upon its knees, with a bow and quiver on its paws.
"That bunny is weird, but it's still cute." Wei Wuxian commented,
The red bunny positioned itself, aiming at the two intruders.
"Those bows are dangerous. Watch out!" He pulled away Wei Wuxian, but the arrow still reached Lan Wangji's lower robes, causing it to explode right their very own eyes.
"Hey! That's unfair!" Wei Wuxian exclaimed, positioning himself to attack. He picked up a big rock and throw it away at the bunny, knocking the bunny down.
The bunny cried a loud noise, stood upon his knees, doubling in its size. It looked more adorable with its puppy, eyes fluttering towards them.
Lan Wangji also threw another rock and the bunny was able to avoid it, moving closer to them.
Wei Wuxian had an idea. He approached the bunny and with his swift movement, choke it with his bare hands.
The Bunny wailed but then slowed down. After a while, it turned into a gray smoke, forming a card into his palm.
"I got a card!"
He exclaimed. Lan Wangji moved closer and examined a card. It's a wish-it-cook-it card.
"I think this is for food consumption." He said, handing it over to Lan Wangji.
"Mn, I think so too."
The bunnies were chubby because it is a magic card to wish whatever food you like. Sure, the two were hungry, they are still not satisfied with what they got.
They were about to leave the place when they heard a man's voice asking for help.
"Where did it come from?" Wei Wuxian wondered.
"Don't be deceived, I think there's another monster lurking around." They tighten their guards as they roamed around.
"Anybody here? Please help us. My wife is pregnant, we are stuck here."
Wei Wuxian looked at Wang Yibo, asking with his eyes if they can help the man. Lan Wangji nodded and searched around the area.
"We can hear your footsteps! We're downhill! We're covered with monster rocks. Please help us! We have obtained lots of spell cards, we can trade them for you. Please! F-for my wife's sake." The sobbing continued. Wei Wuxian looked closely at the rock formation ahead of them.
"I think they are there."
They moved forward and remove the stack of rocks that was covered there. After clearing the area, they saw two young men. One man holding the other man in his waist, as if supporting it.
"Where's your wife?" Wei Wuxian shouted, readying his guard.
"Here's my wife. Shizun, please wake up." He shook the other man's shoulders, waking him up.
Lan Wangji got a rope, and they lay it down to help them get out of the hill. After trying, they were able to pull them out.
The man in green and white robes was unconscious, but what was strange was that his stomach is kind of big.
"My shizun... My wife... We got into a fight with the monster rocks, but then we obtained a strange card out of it. It's called, 'pregnancy stones'. It's all my fault, I let him use it because I was hoping for a baby, but it became like this. He's unconscious for a whole day now." Tears rolled in his pair of starry dark eyes, and Wei Wuxian can't help but pat his shoulders.
"Let's find a way to cure your wife, okay?" He said, reassuring him.
"Okay. Tha-thank you." He said in between his tears.
"I'm Wei Wuxian, and here's my husband, Lan Wangji. And you are?"
The man stood up straight and bowed down at the two.
"I'm Luo Binghe, and here's my wife, Shen Qinqui."
