Flesh...
And bone...
The only remnants of me that are left behind
Fires burn in the background
And a lone soldier stalks the ground
Searching the empty homes that lay in tatters
A wail can be heard in the distance
Wild dogs run about in search of food
The soldier was amused by how much damage,
How much death plagued this place
When they were only looking for one person
Following a trail of blood
The soldier stumbles upon the last living thing
A willow tree...
Beneath the cover of vines, blood covered the ground
A laugh is heard in the wind,
Dancing among the trees
A wisp ran past
Taking the form of a child
The soldier recognized the wisps form as the child they were supposed to find and destroy...
