Chapter 5

Anirudh, Somnath with Saurabh left for Devpuri a night before the festival as it takes time to reach the place.

In car, Anirudh was driving, Saurabh was sitting beside him and was busy with some accounts...
On the other hand, Som who was on the back seat, was sitting idle but his mind was cooking some ideas to tease his elder brother.
He then said keeping an eye on Anirudh but facing other direction..."Suna hai waha ki ladkiyan bohot sundar hai" then took a pause...when Anirudh was about to say something, Som immediately looked at Saurabh and said "kyu Saurabh dada, bataiye kise laa rahe hai hamari boudi banakar waha se" and raised his brows showing his teeth with a wide grin on his face.

Saurabh then blushed and asked. " Aap toh jaante hai maalik, phir kyu pucch rahe hai!?" and then glanced at Anirudh with a small smile who was looking confused.
Som continued..."arre naam toh bata dijiye, woh kya haina main bhool gaya" he asked intentionally.
Saurabh with a smile stammered but said "Sa..Sam..poorna".
Anirudh immediately stopped the car and gave an accusing look to Saurabh.
"Saurabh tumhari shaadi tay ho gayi aur tumne mujhe bataya tak nhi!?" he asked.
"Woh..woh Anirudh babu main.. main toh aapko wo..woh angrezi mein kya kehte hai usse woh su..sur" he said stammering.
Anirudh uttered while glaring him "Surprise"
"Ha..ha wahi Surprise Dena chahta tha"
"Acchaaa! toh tum mujhe Surprise Dena chahte the" he asked dramatically.
Saurabh nodded innocently.

Anirudh then said in low tone being really surprised "Saurabh..... shaadi mein surprise diye jaate hai ya invitation mujhe samjhaoge zara??"
Saurabh bit his tongue and then gave a sheepish smile.
Anirudh then said with a sarcastic smile to himself but indirectly to him,
"Nhi..nhi Saurabh babu mujhe nyota thodi denge, woh toh mujhe surprise denge", "Anirudh babu maine shaadi Karli" he mimicked
"Aur main bichara tumhara dost soch raha tha ki, tumhari shaadi ki saari taiyaari main karunga...huh!!" he turned folding his arms with a frown on his sculpted face.
"Maaf kar dijiye Anirudh babu" he apologized facing him, Anirudh looked at him and then bursted into laughter, Saurabh too smiled, Som looked confused.
"Mubarakh ho Saurabh, aur hamari hone wali boudi ko bhi" he congratulated.
Saurabh too said.."AAPKO BHI Anirudh babu" Saurabh again bit his tongue, Anirudh immediately stopped laughing as he realised something.

Anirudh intentionally cleared his throat and said "mujhe lagta hai humme chalna chahiye, agar der se pohache, toh hamare priya kaka ki Zamindaro wali Shaan kam ho jaayegi" and their journey started, but our dear Som is still confused.

After few hours, they reached the village, early in the morning around 4-5 am.
They then went to Trilochan's friend's house as he gave the address for them to stay at his friends place.
Saurabh knocked the door and a servant of that house opened the door, he said "ji..aap log kaun?"
Anirudh continued " woh hum Tulsipur se hai, mere kaka Trilochan Roy Chowdhury ne humme yahi iss haveli ka pata bataya hai. Kya yeh Zamindar Manohar Ghosh ki haveli hai??"

The servant answered " ji yahi hai, andar aaiye...aap yahi baithkar intezaar kijiye...main maalik ko bulake lata hu." and then went.
All three sat on the sofa of the living room, few minutes later Manohar entered wrapping a shawl around himself.
He said " arre aagaye aap teeno"
while they stood up and greeted him
"Namaste kaka"
"Namaste...namaste" he too greeted and then said his servants to make arrangements so that they can get fresh and take some rest.

After all the morning chores, everyone came at the dining hall for breakfast.
While doing breakfast, Manohar asked
" Toh aa hi gaye aap babu moshai, vilayat se, toh bataiye kaise din kate waha... aur aage kya karne ka vichaar hai!?"
"Din toh padhai karte hue, dosto ke saath aur parivaar ko yaad karte hue hi beete hai...aur aage..aage toh kucch bohot bada, ek badlav laane ka vichaar hai kaka" he answered
"Badlav?" Manohar asked being confused.

"Samaj ki soch mein laana hai badlav,
Ladkiyon ko shikshit karne ka badlav,
Aurton ko unke adhikaar dilaane ka badlav" he said with a fire of change and dreams he saw for his country, in his eyes.
While Manohar just nodded in a yes and said " yeh toh bohot acchi baat hai Anirudh" but from inside he didn't wanted that as he is too from a male dominated society. He quickly finished his food and left for his work without saying anything.
