That time when I got mixed up with an Isekai Candidate

Chapter 1: First Encounter

As I walk aimlessly through the fields, I attempted to create some more objects. First, I tried to make some basic gear,

As I open my inventory, I notice that my armor I had made was not Iron, but Leather.

"Guess material scales with my level..."

As I put on my armor, I see my defense on the screen go up from 0 to 3, so it should protect me a little bit. Now to see if I can get some range.

"Object Creation!"

[What object would you like to create?]

"Pistol"

[Error: Object unable to be made. Create closest object?]

I hadn't heard that before. I guess it was too strong. Let's see what it gives me instead.

"Yes."

[Creating 'Lvl 1 Wooden Shortbow']

I guess a bow would make sense. The logical stepdown from a gun is a bow. Now just to wait a bit.

Ah, it seems it'll make extra items if I need it. I'll also make a dagger, for cutting.

Ah, it isn't unlimited. I guess Hito just said unique, and not overpowered. Well, it still is a really useful skill. I don't ever have to buy any gear, so that'll be a huge money save.

Well, I should save my last slot, just in case, so I shouldn't make a dagger. I decline the skill and decide it's best if I move on. So I continue my aimless wandering.

My trek takes my into a forest, as I continue looking for somewhere to rest my head. As I walk, I hear something squelch beneath my foot. Fearing the worst, I lifted my foot to look to see how much dung I stepped in, but there wasn't any. Instead, there was some blue goo on my foot.

Behind me, I hear something rustling in the bushes, and out hops a small, blue Slime. Sensing combat, I draw my sword and shield, and prepare for its assault. As I expected, the Slime bounces toward me, but then leaps to hit me in the chest, but I instinctively raise my shield to block. Now, you would think that Slimes wouldn't be that harmful. You'd be wrong. The little bastard sent me back a pace from a blocked hit. I couldn't possibly imagine what damage that would do to me if I hadn't blocked the hit, but I was going to counter-attack. Maybe it was by instinct, or maybe it was thanks to Riho, but my right hand slammed my blade directly into the Slime, cutting it straight in half. With a puff of sparks, the Slime dissipates, leaving a small bottle, some coins and a crystal on the ground.

They all glow blue, and disappear, and my screen pops up in front of me.

Ah, so it recaps my battle and the spoils I gain. It also identifies items, which should be useful, since I had no idea what anything was in this world. However, as I open my menu to read up on what a skill crystal is, I receive a pop-up notification.
