That time when I got mixed up with an Isekai Candidate

Epilogue: Immunity

Today I've been pulled outside by Hana-chan. She said somethin' about testin' her new skills out, and since I kinda can't die, I offered myself up as the target.

"Thanks for helping me, Sosei-san!"

"No prob, Bud! Now, what's first?"

"Um... Let's try Vine Snare first..."

She does some magic junk, and then nothing happens.

"Okay! Run towards me, Sosei-san!"

"Aight, here I come!"

As I run, a vine comes outta the ground and grabs my foot, danglin' me in the air.

"Oi! Bud! This ain't feel tight at all!"

Then I looked at my foot to see that it was tight, it was my stitching that wasn't.

"Ah, crap..."

The thread snaps, and I fall to the ground, laying there like, well... A corpse.

"Hold on, Sosei!"

Hoshi-san calls out to me, and gets out his thread.

"There, all done. Can you move now?"

My stitching is better than it was before. Man, this guy is awesome!

"Yea, you're a life, er... Death saver, heh!"

"Yeah, guess I am."

He chuckles at my crack-up and then walks back to the sidelines, so he won't get hurt.

"Okay! That one worked! Let's try... Poison Thorn?"

"Kay."

I watch as she does more magic junk, and shoots a thorn about the size of my finger at me. It pricks me.

"Oh, yeah... Shoulda told you poison doesn't work on zombies, sorry."

"Oh, that's fine! I can move on to the next thing, anyways!"

"That wood thing?"

"Yup! Wood Plating!"

I watch as she said that, and her body is surrounded by a tree, before the tree breaks, leaving her wearin' a suit of wood.

"Alright, Sosei-san! Punch me!"

"Okay! It might sting!"

I swing at her with all my might, and I hit the suit.

Snap.

"Well, good news and bad news, Bud. Good news is that your armor works, and really well. Bad news is that my hand snapped."

At my feet, are 4 wiggly fingers, and my hand is missing its fingers.

"Aright, I'm coming."

Hoshi-san runs over to me and stitches my hand back together. Again, the thread feels better sewn than before.
