Storm Warning (Choose your own adventure)

You decide to clamber out of this wreckage. There doesn't seem to be any more interesting stuff lying around. But as you walk towards a pile of rubble, you trip over something.You unearth it from the snow and see it's some sort of black cube with glowing blue markings. You don't know what it does, but it could be useful later... You pick it up and continue walking. Five minutes later you're out of the wreckage, having scrambled over big metals and avoided the burning areas. You're standing on a snowy mountain slope. In front of you lies a huge valley carpeted with pine trees and behind you is an icy ridge. If you enter the pine forest, turn to 12. If you climb up the ridge, turn to 16.
