I swam up to the surface fighting against the huge waterfall that was beating down on me. I shuddered from the cold. Rosie had pushed me in, and right after I told her she was my best friend.

"Wow, I really have bad taste in friends." I said aloud in a shocking revelation.

Suddenly, a dark mass fell from above into the waters. I thrashed around frantically hoping I wasn't going to get dragged under. In my fit of panic something brushed my leg and I flipped out. Slowly Rosie emerged from beneath the water taking in huge gulps of air. She weakly swam over to me and laid her head on my shoulder.

"Rosie! You're okay!" I screeched ever so loudly at her over the sound of the waterfall.

"Yeah, sure," she replied in a weak, almost inaudible voice.

There was dead silence. You would think the noisy waterfall would say otherwise. I got an aching feeling. Something was definitely wrong, but I couldn't figure out what it was.

"Uhhhh Rosie you okay there?" I questioned with a worried eagerness.

No response. I struggled to take a look at her. She was still and quiet. Her body felt as cold as ice.

"Rosie! Wake Up! I don't know any healing spells! Forget the healing spells, I don't even know how to heal you period! You've got to wake up!" I shouted as I shaked her frantically.

She didn't budge.

"Okay," I muttered to myself trying to calm down a bit.

"Just gotta figure out how to heal her before we both get Hypothermia. No biggie." I said in an enthusiastically sarcastic tone.

As I constantly tried to think of a way to help us both a loud screeching hiss echoed the cliff side. This sound was loud! I mean booming loud! Like overpowering the thunderous, roaring waterfall type loud! My body was frozen in fear as the blood curdling sound vibrated my ears once more. I took a huge gulp at the exact same moment that whatever was hissing on the cliff side dived into the waters with us.

"Oh no, no, no, no, no, no," I said as my voice trembled.

The water splashed in a rough and violent manner. Ever so gently a huge whirlpool was forming, and aggressively tugging away at Rosie. I held onto her as tightly as I could. I was slowly losing my grip. Not sure if the strength and force of the whirlpool was the reason for that manner but Rosie's eyes opened in an instant, practically bulging out of her head, and the look she gave me was downright terrifying. I could feel all the fear that overcame her in that moment. She let out a gut wrenching scream as she was sucked into the dark depths of the waters. My body was crippled with fear and soon after I went into a full fledged freak out. I began hyperventilating and shouting out Rosie's name hoping that some way she would be able to hear me.

"Adagio." a voice chimed softly.

I was in too much of a panic to pay attention to it.

"Adagio." it sang once more.

I looked around to see in which direction the voice was coming from.

"Is this thing on? Can you not hear me?" the voice questioned.

I listened attentively to get a better hearing of the voice. It sounded way too familiar.

"Hmm? Do I know you, oh great ominous voice?" I questioned as I took a playful bow.

"Well if you remove the ominous voice part and leave the great then yeah. I'm honestly a little surprised you wouldn't remember your own grandmother" she said in an almost teasing tone as she chuckled.
