Cherry gathered flowers in the forest, dark and Mysterious. She noticed a small mouse moving slowly, begging to be killed. With quick movements she quickly caught it, eating it in a few bites. She gathered her flowers and returned home, unknowing that the mouse she ate was infected.

Sunrise.

Cherry approched the prey pile and grabbed a rabbit, quickly eating the small creature. She was going to make her way back to the nursery, before she suddenly began to cough rapidly. Then coughing up blood, Zap who was resting on the bloodrock quickly leaped down and ran to assist his mother, "Ma? What's happening?" Cherry wouldn't respond. She was to busy coughing.

"Whitedeath! Whitedeath!" Zap called out, his sister soon appearing from the den. "What's the matter Zap?" She yawned, "It's mom! She's coughing up blood!" Whitedeath sighed and came closer to Cherry- her mother. She inspected the wolf, but it was to late.

Cherry fell limp, hitting the floor with a thud. "Mom.." Zap whispered, tears forming. "I'll call a meeting to inform the pack." Whitedeath said, leaping up the rock. Zap dragged his mother infront of the rock, sitting next to her instead. "All wolves old enough to kill their enemies gather under the bloodrock for a pack meeting." Whitedeath called, as wolves gathered she cleared her throat.

"The old alpha, Cherry has passed. She was a good alpha to you guys, she was there for you all." Whitedeath stated, why didn't she include herself? It was obvious by the way the said it that she was excluding herself. Was there something the others did know? Was whitedeath hiding a dark secret from the rest.

As wolves began to come forth to the wolf dead body Cobra and Whitedeath looked at each-other and nodded, she leaped off the rock. "Panda shall bury her." She said, stretching before she laid down. Chetrye had just woken up, why was everyone surrounding his sleeping grandma. Upon hearing she died Chetrye knew she wasn't asleep, Snagtooth approched him. "Chetrye you should go to the nursery, I don't think you should be here." The wolf bent down to the pups size, "Is she dead?" The pup asked.

"She was old, it was bound to happen someday." Snagtooth didn't sugarcoat it, "Does that mean you'll die soon?" The pup asked. It tugged at Snagtooth's heart but she couldn't lie to Chetrye. "Of course, everyone dies someday." She looked over as panda left camp then back to the pup.

"So that's why all of siblings died?" The pup asked, looking up at Snagtooth.  "Exactly. Weak wolves won't survive here, if you want to live a long time like your grandma you'll have to train hard and listen to your mother." She said, her voice stern. "Uhm, Okay," His thoughts completely went off of his grandmother as he got up and started trotting around camp, trying to wake up fully.

"Chertye aren't you four moons?" Snagtooth asked, "That's right!" The pup turned. Snagtooth smiled, "Then your bound to be a trainee, now get to the nursery before Panda returns and has a heart attack wondering where you are. I'll speak with your mother." She watched as the pup walked back, she approched whitedeath near the rock.

"Whitedeath." Snagtooth called, approaching the bloodrock.  "Chertye is already four moons, he should become a Trainee."  she yawned.  "Your right, I've been caught up with other things I forgot. I'll call a meeting now."  She nodded, climbing back up the bloodrock. "All wolves old enough to kill their enemies gather under the bloodrock for a pack meeting!"

As Wolves began to once again gather under the bloodrock Zap scrambled up it, falling next to Whitedeath. Whitedeath leaped down from the rock and approched the pup,  "Chetrye you are of age to become a Trainee, it is a hard process. You must listen and pay attention to your lessons. So here infront of the whole pack you must answer my question, do you promise to always put the pack before yourself? And stick with us through sickness and death." She looked down at the pup with proud eyes, waiting for his response.

"I do." The pup responded, "Then you shall assist me and Bluebell during training today. The meeting is now dismissed, everyone return to their duties."
